- In this 49th Video from Classic Car ChitChat, you will get to see a beautiful 2009 Mustang Shelby GT500 KR which I learned stands for King of the Road. Which is the perfect name for this Beast of a Car. Only 712 of these cars were made of which only 130 made it to Canada which makes this car very rare. In addition it was signed by Carroll Shelby! The Mustang has an incredible sound and can give both the Dodge Hellcat and Demon a run for the money. The car has a beautiful paint finish with racing stripes that make it pop! This is one of those Iconic & Legendary Fords that every Ford Mustang lover dreams of. The raw power and acceleration is just mind blowing. The owner has had it since new and it still looks like it came off the showroom floor!

I hope my Classic Car ChitChat video’s make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great UA-camrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
Equipment Used:
Camera - Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

Beautiful car. I just bought a 08 Barrett Jackson Edition Shelby gt SC supercharged with 1500 miles orig owner was reggie Jackson. I feel so lucky to own this special Shelby.

I DON'T THINK HE IS CORRECT ON THE PRICE OF THE KR 39 GRAND LOL MY COUPE SUPERSNAKE WAS 40GRAND FOR THE SUPERSNAKE MOD.
Nice car I have a 2007 Gt500 white with blue stripes, white shift balls in America are standard for muscle cars. This is a dream car they have one for sale for 60K looks like they are holding there value.
Octane, you are not kidding, and great to hear you have one. These cars are hard to come by and when they do.. the price is very high as you mentioned. It goes to show that when they build the car right it speaks volumes and becomes iconic like some of the past Mustangs.

Definitely right about the hood and rims, can't get the same aftermarket. Similar, but not exact. Nice Shelby. I've got a 2007 red w/ white stripes Shelby GT500. But the KR is awesome. Good thing you didn't let your wife talk you out of it!

I HATE TO SOUND LIKE A DICK LOL THE BRAKES ARE STOCK AND I WISH SHELBY AMERICAN DID MORE CARBON FIBER LOL THE FRONT SPLITTER AND THE MIRROR COVERS
AND IN MY OPINION SHELBY AMERICAN SHOULD HAVE DONE THE SIDE SKIRTS IN CARBON FIBER AND THE REAR DEFUSER ALSO SHOULD BE CARBON FIBER JUST LIKE MY SUPER SNAKES AND IN THE INTERIOR THE CENTER GAGE PACK JUST COMPLETES THE INTERIOR ALSO LIKE MY SUPER SNAKES.

Did he buy it from Summit ford in rexdale (Toronto). Because they had one of these back in 2010 for a real long time. They couldnt sell it. It was like 110,000 canadian at the time

@@ClassicCarChitChat ..... great video , and a great car. As you're probably aware, NOBODY would paint over an over priced carbon fiber hood.
Since it's a Shelby it may actually have the stamped steel reinforcement on the underside of the fiberglass hood. Kinda looks like it.
@@ClassicCarChitChat ..... I did some research on this car, I now believe that the owner is 100% accurate. His hood does appear to be painted over pure carbon fiber. Next to the engine it's the most expensive part on the car !!!
