This is just false information. I cannot reveal the source of my information. But this story is completely false. According to my knowledge, the CBSA never asks travelers to petition for asylum; doing so is against the law. This is what happens in reality. When a CBSA officer confirms a traveler's inadmissibility in Canada 🇨🇦. Officer requests that travellers to voluntarily withdraw their entrance application. If travelers agree to this, but before the CBSA officer begins the removal procedure, the officer must ask the travelers if sending him back is safe for him! Most of these travellers start playing the victim game, claiming that their lives are in danger back home. That's when the asylum thing comes in. That is all.

Why don't you guys pick those topics where a person lying in their visitor applications and once they get into this country, they buy/take LMIA to get the status change. That must be stopped. Some of them I personally know they did masters and were teaching back in the country. They got the Driving License somehow and got their status changed to a Closed work permit. Now that guy got his family approved and coming in here next month. What type of immigration is this ? No words really.

Refusal to enter in country for anybody except PR and citizen is perogative and right of Border officer at the spot and Canadian govenment. Getting visitor visa has no legal right to enter country.
Then they should refund the flight charges of $4500 to those visitors.

Mam this is a preplanned steps of haryana and Punjabi people as study permit is getting costly and for students it is difficult to get PR so now they reach Montreal and Toronto if they stop by officers at airport to claim refuge they are putting false allegations on them now they reach inside than through lawyers claiming asylum and newly married and family members are saying they run away from family they have a love marriage so they have danger from this and that this is easy way to get PR and free money till the time they are not getting job

Simply get the approval of people impacted and check via Access to Information, have CBSA to release the documents and surveillance videos.
People who are coming as visitors, don’t they come with return tickets, which should support that they are genuine visitors and are planning to return back to their country.
