As someone who has depression Ive been gaslit to fuck by various ppl that I'm "not letting go, "I've a victim mentality ", I need to just meditate, do yoga, breathe, read every fucking self help book there is, have a "growth mindset", all bullshit. I can't think of one guru, one author in self help who isn't making massive buck. It's a lucrative industry that uses a sprinkle of science over a main course of horse shit. From Tony Robbins to Elkhart Tolle to sadghuru, Gabor matè, vegans and meat only, all of them are cashing in on so many ppls desperation for answers. They are the new religion, they are the new hope-sellers and so many ppl are so desperate that they'll loose all logic.

To be far everything is somewhere in between and you can't be healthy without getting a proper diet but this may not solve all your issues. Many of these" vegan' influencer's are actually plant based and are only involved for health where as actual veganism is a movement for the rights of animals not to be used by people. A lot of people have many factors creating health problems and do have to try many different things and a combination of things.

I tried SSRIs for four years. Ended up getting off of them after they stopped working, also the side effects!
I picked up meditating via Buddhist methods like Samatha meditation and Vissapana meditation.
The whole point to me is that it is an exercise to learn to "unbind" from thoughts. A better way to say it is that it helps make thoughts less sticky from the meditative practice of not binding to maladaptive and dysfunctional thoughts.
Just give awareness to the beneficial thoughts and condition yourself to generate more.
Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. Just because cults and scams claim to offer meditation, doesn't mean meditation is a scam itself.

I noticed the same thing too, regarding Russell Brand. He’s noticeably made a rightward shift. I don’t have a problem with a slant to the right but he seems to be creeping more and more each day. He very recently proclaimed himself Christian (didn’t he previously lean toward Vedic philosophy?) and now has an ad for Gold on his UA-cam channel, as does Tucker Carlson. Russell and Tucker Carlson are now bff’s. It’s like these guys got together and introduced each other to potential advertisers. I don’t need to watch both of their channels bc they’re both saying the same thing and pretty much interviewing the same people. I fear they become their own echo chambers against the very things and people they call out for having confirmation bias. I think this is happening with so many of these guys (podcasters).

None of the things you mentioned are actually aligned with traditional left or right politics. Perhaps the one thing that possibly could be considered as such would be an adoption of Christianity, but that doesn't really make sense as it doesn't directly hold any form of political leaning. There are so many forms of Christianity, it's more of an adjacent implication. This is actually part of the problem with today's cultural bubbles. I would ask specifically which values of Russell's are now traditional right wing values? I can't really think of any.
There's a social pressure to adhere to prescribed doctrines these days, if you veer from any facet of these narratives you seem to get stuck with a new label implying you're somehow on the wrong team.
The fact that tucker is now pointing out the inherent corruption on both sides of the political spectrum and admitting he had many things very wrong is a positive development in my opinion, he has a huge platform.
Russell has always been very open about his intention with his podcast, he wanted to find common ground between political ideologies that have traditionally been at odds and I think he's done very well in this respect.
In regards to advertising, there is a limited number of advertisers willing to connect themselves with such anti establishment content, these content creators are often rendered financially radioactive by the legacy/media.
If you spread your lens a little wider you'll notice just how many fervently left wing creators are sharing conversations with members of right leaning platforms. The common theme is elite corporate interests aligned with government are working against the people. That's pretty far left traditionally.
The establishment has actively maneuvered left wing topics to the arena of identity politics, this serves to polarize the public and shift focus from the fact the establishment has no interest in serving the people and only an interest in serving their financial masters. The public blames the other side of the socio-political spectrum for the wrongs of the world while the ones who make the laws get rich and powerful serving their masters. Ultimately the cost of living keeps increasing, people are struggling more, health in all arenas declines and people are generally less tolerant of each others views.

Key ingredient is fear, bombard people with fear, once you've got them in that state you can direct their attention to your 'scapegoat' of choice.
For leftists it's Trump/Maga supporters, Russia and any other leftists that find fault with any aspect of the prescribed narrative. They falsely label these non-conforming leftists 'alt right' and attack them on claims of "adjacent to..". They do this because they cannot address the points made by these non-conformers head on. They have no argument for these because they are valid and true observations that highlight the subterfuge at play. This is also why censorship is now a must for these people, it's their last line of defense in the face of completely broken logic.
These systems of control are as old as civilisation but the technology they're now being applied with is like nothing before.

The medical profession is equally guilty of costing us a lot of money and coming up with no results. I spent years being treated by mainstream medicine for depression, they tried me on every anti depressant drug on the market and even moved on to some others that weren't antidepressant drugs. So after years of this they finally decided I didn't have Clinical depression but Dysthymia instead. So now I was told to go away because I'm "drug resistant". Let's not forget the medical practices are partly funded by big pharma. Your doctor has an incentive to push their products.

      @JamesDecker7 3 місяці тому +6

Except what you report happening is NOT what any decent psychiatrist would do. For treatment resistant depression and dysthymia there are more than medication options: there is transcranial magnetic stimulation, ECT, even deep brain stimulators (just to name a few). There ARE more aggressive options for treatment out there than just meds, meds, and more meds.

I wouldn't judge medical science too harshly because imho they've done wonders when you think about what kinds of medicine or medical procedures were available just 100 years ago. But I understand your frustration. Progress in psychiatry and psychology though are a far shot from the rest of medical science. Therapies often last forever, finding the right therapist for you seems to be a gamble and drugs have life-changing side-effects. I always say it is crazy to believe in every conspiracy theory you hear, but it is extremely naive not to believe in any of them. The way to navigate these troubling times is to truly understand the nature of the Self.
Spirituality should be an inward journey to the depths of your being where all distinctions disappear. Where your true identity resides as the "I Am" presence, the essence that permeates all things.
True Gurus will show the seeker the path, emphasizing that they must have the courage to walk it alone. One must step into the Great Unkown where silence is the language of Truth and all separation dissolves.
Fake gurus will tell you they can take you there for a price.
Once you understand energy an vibrations, everything makes sense.

    • @frusia123
      @frusia123 2 місяці тому

No, it's you who's adopting more conspiratorial thinking so they seem less nuts to you. The problem with conspiracy theories is not that they're all lies. If they were, no one would believe in them, most people are not this nuts. The problem is that they use elements of truth, and attach to them a simplistic and often false narrative. They offer simple explanations to very complex issues. They pretend to be logical, but they're only logical to those who really know very little about the subject and have no way of doing a real fact check.
For example. There's a theory that the whole medical system has been bought by evil people who want to exterminate the human kind.
It's true that big pharma has been buying doctors and scientists, and even media outlets. It's one of the problems of late capitalism. That doesn't mean that all doctors have been bought, and that doesn't mean that you should trust the one who has lost his licence for malpractice, but now he claims it was because the whole medical profession is corrupt and he's been wronged.
When you believe in conspiracy theories you're just like those who blindly believe in what they're told by the mainstream media. You're easily led, you just switched the medium. And the conspiracy side is even darker and more misleading with less accountability.
Thinking for yourself is a lonely place and requires an ongoing effort.

I think wellness should be incorporated into our modern healthcare system with doctors educated in this system . Requirements and standards need to be drawn and health insurers acceptance would be key which should not be a problem because it will save money . There has to also build into a financial savings to incentivize the medical division . You have labs done and if your are able to keep levels in acceptable ranges under wellness standards your healthcare costs are greatly reduced . If you can't do it or don't want to live a healthy doctor you can move up or down depending how you look at it and go to the primary care pill pusher but it will cost you more . You can't keep having the healthy population for the unhealthy . It doesn't promote health concienouse.
Many of these health gurus do have a piece of the pie but they are so disorganized and a bit all over the place . Most are better than the standard quo of the poor health concienouse that a majority of Americans have . The health care system has to be changed to promote wellness instead of just treating symptoms of poor wellness .

Being vegan or vegetarian is not necessarily healthy, and neither is engaging in poorly researched activities. Just because someone says something does not make it accurate. Modern medicine is questionable also. My thoughts and feelings are to trust in yourself, listen to your body and how you feel and believe in yourself.

This is not wrong, for sure. Yet, this intro is not only presumptuous but also holding clear biases.
The Religious path (or spiritual path) is not bound by materialism. Spiritual materialism is the true problem with “conspirituality” as they take a materialist path while thinking they’re on a spiritual path.
The fantasy reality we have today is a “TV Reality” that evolved from Reality TV from the 90s.

📜 John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
45Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!
📜 Matthew 13:34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.
35 So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet:
“I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”
36Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
37He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
38The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom.
The weeds are the people of the evil one, 39and the enemy who sows them is the devil.
📜 Jeremiah 8:17 For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.
📜 Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:
he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
📜 John 3:12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

His prosperity gospel was self serving but also the ultimate zen joke on the absurdity of money. A con man, but to deny he had anything good to say is silly.

And fyi, to tech literate people, hearing you refer to "The Algorithm" as a single, mysterious, ultimately unknowable and even godlike monolithic force is a huge turn off, and gives the impression that you too are susceptible to pseudo-logical ways of framing your world (yourselves, the Good Creators ,being oppressed and fighting against the goliath of The Algorithm).
