This is back in the day black churches. Open rebuke was common and accepted. Many people did get mad and upset when it happened but quickly got over it. We have too many people in their feelings today. The need that in today churches because too may pastors and members have gone wild.

I got openly rebuked for asking a visiting paster to pray with me on something. Church was over then. He said really loud I'M NOT PRAYING FOR THAT!!! I got healed instantly. I will NEVER do that again. I was so embarrassed and a shame. I'm glad that he did that now. It helped me go to God for myself.

Someone in error cannot correct someone else in here unless they are a hypocrite. Scripture speaks against women speaking in church and here this woman is trying to rebuke another woman while violating scripture herself.. as the Bible says my people parish for lack of knowledge study to show that self approved and be not deceived. We have known that this woman is in error. If we do not know the scripture that says she is an error.

Most of these church people who behave and act up like this are substance abusers or suffer from mental illness. But there are many who constantly use drugs, liquor, weed, and come to church. And many of these so-called preachers are out of line when they publicly speak on somebody's personal private matters. I attend a black church and I've seen the utterly chaos and hypocrisy that goes on. smh.
Mother Kelly rebuke was done out of genuine love.
In my day, they not only openedly rebuked you, but they sat you down. They don't do this anymore, and it is needed today

Back in the day, the women would get up surround the woman and at times throw a sheet on her to cover her. I loved that these women got up and surrounded her. Her dress was short and the Mother gave her sound advice, as she should.
A Pastor once said to the women in the church,[mostly unsaved]. If you are Not selling, Don’t advertise. He was Always commenting on the way Some of those women was dressing. They dressed like they were going to a night club.
Let Everything be done decently and in order. Women dress modestly, you can dress like a tramp in the bedroom for your husbands, if you desire. There is a time and a place for Everything under heaven/sun.

it might have been in that particular case...but it is common place for musicians especially the 1s who r grand in their own minds to PLAY but NOT PARTICIPATE in worship!...what the Bishop did was CORRECT!
I'm over a music ministry. My musicians and myself usually all head to the same place when praise and worship is done...
...the bathroom! Then we come back in, and sit at the back of the platform, so we can be near our instruments, and we listen to the sermon. This is the case in many churches. I don't know very many pastors who would even allow their musicians to leave the sanctuary and stay gone during the sermon.
Your initial rebuke should be behind closed doors. Particularly if you are a member. If there's someone in the pulpit that is out of order see them after service them confront them. When you say this has been going on too long , now I'm looking at leadership. It should be addressed expeditiously. They need to follow proper protocols.

I clearly understand what you mean my bro. I'm a bass player in my church, and obviously we should be able to relieve ourselves, but some leaders use the wrong approach. It needs to be done in decency, and in order.
Open rebuke is necessary because crazy stuff is happening in churches all across the land. Some of the crazy is because people are not properly taught and some of it is because the pastors are not properly or fully taught.
It is similar to supervisors improperly or properly disciplining employees in the workplace.
Someone needs to show UA-cam videos of supervisors improperly and properly disciplining employees.

ive only seen open rebukes in the Bible for false teachers. theres a fine line between open rebuke and just being openly toxic, combative, selfish, etc. Let all things be done in an orderly fashion and out of love.
That’s why the church is emptying at an astounding rate. Unwarranted public shaming is never ok! Appropriate measures should be taken if someone is intentionally interrupting SERVICE, or threatening. Much of what we witnessed was a power trip. How do you publicly shame someone for doing what has always been accepted, seeking a church home, dressing as they know, and not kotowing to pulpit bullying?

What today's churches need more than so-called prophets is the gift of discernment. Too many pastors continue to elevate members in their church to the office of prophet while ignoring and verifying whether God has called them. Every prophet should show proof of their prophecies because God doesn't make mistakes when he uses true prophets. And by the way, true God called prophets don't seek fame and fortune.

Reminder that blind Bartemaous cried for healing and the Lord recognized it and gave him his petition. Pastors are not always following the spirit of God but their flesh. If you listen to the Spirit of God then you will help those that God desires you to help.

We need more videos like these. The church has gone crazy because the OGs of the Lord are dead or can't and won't rebuke anyone. Churches look like strip clubs, brothels, etc... Decency and order need to return quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Uhhhh, maybe not a letter but it needs be done "decent and in order." They may be a dissenter. And, if it's all good, why not a letter? You see, church is not business as usual, there should be accountability! You should have the "awe" of God in your soul, because your spirit is made perfect if you're saved, to be a blessing to the house of God. It's about Jesus!

I'm 52, and in our church, the members leaving from a previous church we're asked to bring a letter from the former pastor to potential pastor.

With the exception of Kim Burrell, I am in agreement with every one of these. I don't stand with women pastors and preachers. That said, the woman that was dancing... I am unsure. David danced and his wife rebuked him, but God set her straight. I don't think dancing like that is necessary.
She was knocking over chairs, fell on the group because she bumped all into the chairs, and her bra strap was falling down. Dancing and shouting praise is biblical, nothing wrong, but the Holy Ghost is intelligent. Bumping into or knocking over folding chairs, no sleeves and you having issues with your bra…..and they went and got the sheet. She fell with her knees face forward to the crowd. I’m not sure what to think of the pastor that told the person can you leave and put on men’s clothes, he kicked them out and said he has a standard at his church. How can the transsexual hear the word of God, repent, and be delivered, if they can’t sit in the church service? How can he turn from his wicked ways if he is not welcomed in the building? He didn’t get to hear the preached word, that’s what convicts the hearts of men. I mean if the person isn’t being disruptive, like that false prophet guy and some other stuff, (and they are just sitting there) we gotta let the sinner in the church and give them the word of God. The one who hasn’t turn their life over to Christ belongs in the church (to hear the message for the chance to be converted) Mark:2.17. If a prostitute, and people know that what she is because let’s say she’s seen on the wrong corner everyday, came in with a mini skirt, would she be asked to leave?? Give her the word, pray for her, that her heart be convicted and she would pursue the Lord! Pastor no disrespect, but the believers have a standard, we gotta bring Christ to people 1st…if they accept God their standards will change.

Luke 5:31 Jesus Christ came into this world and died for everyone so that we may repent and be redeemed from sin. The problem with these pastors is they think they are above the Bible, they are humbled and they always show favoritism. According to ROMANS 2:11 God show no favoritism, he loves is all equally and doesn’t want anyone to perish and be lost. Another scriptures says “If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, “You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor”-well, doesn’t this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives?”

There is a time and a place for all things. In many cases an open rebuke is necessary and appropriate. The clip with Bishop Patterson is a good example of this. However if that is the only way that you are bringing correction, then I would question the spirit behind it. Mother Kelly is the other example of this, I do not think all of her open rebukes are necessary. She could have turned the mic off to talk to the young lady about her attire. JMO
Agreed! Bishop Patterson was in order. The same man had been falsely prophesying. Sometimes people make the mistake of following people claiming to be prophets. This man was yelling these lies in the midst of the service so Bishop Patterson was right to expose the lie in the same service to let everyone know this was not God.

Some of them was hidings behind the word of God with all of these man made laws in the church.There are so many confused people today because of their actions. It’s all about your personal relationship with God and reading and understanding God’s word.
Most of this is needlessly offensive and not "how" Christ would address His people. Position doesn't entitle a leader to handle folk however they feel like handling them. Humiliation isn't effective "ministry" or correction...they can't hear you. "He who offends not in words is a perfect man..able to bridle the whole body." There's a way to say and do anything..even law inforcement is held to that..and we're gifted with the administration of the Holy Spirit. 🤔😣✌️

4:15 that is Bishop Joe C Tisdale of The Church IN the Lord Jesus Christ Headquartered in Hartsville, SC. He became the overseer of the organization in 1991 following the death of the powerful Bishop Lynist Hunter who came from under Bishop S. C. Johnson. The Church is pretty dead since Tisdale took over and has no growth, most of the Church that left, including Bishop Hunter's family has come over to First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ with Apostle Gino Jennings.
I know the family and I personally have been to that Church.
