This product was originally sold in the late 1990s by the American company "Play" (who also made the Trinity video editing system). Since it's more than 20 years old, its patent is probably expired by now (other than the ability to switch between blue and green on the ring, I don't see any differences from the original).

"nobody can quiet do whaT we can do".... aahahahahhaha I did the same with 50 Euro while you ask a lot of money for something that is so simple to do.... wow... you are so proud of yourself but, as I said, I realized my own reflecting green screen with 50 baks and it works perfectly... I recommand a bit more humility

I have experience with this. It is indeed a rather easy way to set up a green screen but the light itself gets tiresome for the talent's eye. Also there's no way to use a teleprompter with this.

Thanks for watching, Jari! I suppose that long hours in front of the LiteRing could be problematic for some, but with intensity and distance adjustments, that issue can often be ameliorated. You are correct that there is no way to use a beam-splitter style teleprompter with this system, but prompter monitors just above or below the lens work well.

Sure, it is a great product overall. We've had great success with it with the aforementioned shortcomings. For brief narrations in front of the camera, the light's intensity is totally acceptable.

Where can I see examples? And does it have to be a dslr? What about mounted on a smartphone rig?

LEDchromaKEY.com has been in business since 2011. They have the patent pending on Teleprompter LED Green Rings. ledchromakey.com/product-category/2-color-teleprompter/

Still far too expensive for what it is.

It's true that the process for creating the Chromatte background is very exacting, and therefore expensive. However, in some scenarios the Reflecmedia system can save thousands in background lighting.
