DARIUS LIM Lux

Lux was commissioned by the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir in 2019. Singaporean composer Darius Lim (b. 1986) was inspired by a trip to South Africa, and this piece is his meditation on light and the ways it can uncover beauty and hope. Harmonies shift and reveal colours like light refracting through glass. The piece ends in a brilliant statement, “Dona nobis pacem” - “grant us peace”. (Wong Yong En)
