I suggest putting chat on emote only mode during those high points in the story. Some streamers , like Jesse Cox, even do it the whole duration of the msq.

The betrayal line I think was set up with the older player base in mind, a last attempt to make us question wtf is going on since many of us had become actually suspicious of him because for many of us it had been years since we did the Crystal Tower quests. I had no clue who the Exarch was until this scene because I had long forgotten about Graha
Exactly, I was super suspicious of the crystal exarch, it had been nearly 5 years since I did crystal tower and did not remember much. That reveal was huge!
I think they wrote those lines in because of the guilt Graha felt after deceiving everyone for so long. I'm guessing he didn't feel deserving of any praise, or to be part of the Warrior of Light's story. But it does also make for an interesting fake-out to those who did not trust him.
IIRC, you could also complete 5.0 without having done the crystal tower. They didn't make it mandatory until a later patch (I.e. you had to close the time loop before the events of 5.3)

Wow, love the highlights! I don't use twitch but I'll be watching your stuff here! As for Graha, I don't think it's ever explained why he says he's betraying you at first, but my theory is he just doesn't want us to feel bad, but Y'shtola pretty quickly dispelling the betrayal notion.
Honestly it's the reason he kept everything quiet except for telling urianger. He knew that if we knew it was graha we wouldn't allow him to do it. So the betrayal was just another part of the "don't care about me, don't try to stop me, just accept it and let me go."

Rewatching this scene is always so funny at that part. Especially when you learn how much of a dramatic bitch Emet is. So of course he, as the greatest sorcerer in the world, would pull out a gun just for the style

We're *normally* fine, but viewership nearly tripled for this cutscene and with it came the less friendly vampires. Fortunately 5.0 and 5.3 were flawless! Hopefully that stays the same moving into Endwalker :)

The way the game tackles certain topics, mainly nihilism, hope, loss and moving on amidst tumultuous times have had a profound impact on me already.
