Tom Williams That was the Epiphone Casino... Paul got one so John and George went out and got one each as well because they were just like Chuck Berry’s ES-330. They were George and John’s main guitars for the rest of The Beatles touring days and John used his into the ‘70s, Paul still has and uses his. The guitar in question in this vid is Lennon’s 325 complete with his mainstay Vox Python strap. Paul also had and used a re-strung right-handed sunburst Fender Esquire (Tele without a neck pickup) in the studio, notably for the solo on Taxman.
In Beatles anthology 3 there's a blooper before Hey Jude where Paul sings, "When I was a robber! In Boston place. You engulfed me in your warm embrace..."

AllenOption8 Yes - no accident at all. Many people don't realize the schedule they kept. They were absolutely prolific during their relatively short career. I would recommend the following site for all fans: (Google "Pierocarey Beatles Timeline") It highlights their entire recording career on a daily basis. They rarely had a day off. Have a look at what they did on Feb 11 1963 ;-) Simply unbelievable.
I never heard it as taking charge. John was known to "suggest" songs and how they were played. I see it more John suggesting and Paul not agreeing. We tend to forget before they broke up they were close friends and that helped in writing music. Through the 70's they had a strained relationship, yet near 1980 they were speaking to each other and even calling themselves from time to time. SO the strain was healing. Then Dec of 1980 happened and we never got to see how it would have healed. The World lost much that day.

Henry Floyd At this time, no one anywhere called McCartney "Macca", that's only been around for a few years. It was always just "Paul". It sounds more like "Megan", but it definitely is not "Macca".
John had a voice like no other before him, or since. It was a mix of raspy, with perfect vibrato, and an incredibly large range.. He truly was an artistic genius in so many different areas.
“It’s these damn words”..... John Lennon! John had an endearing propensity for even forgetting the words to his own songs on a regular basis. This Boy and Help caused him particular problems..... how I miss him and George.

No question - the center of the pop music universe and STILL feeling these ripples - as evidenced with the tribute. I don't know if anything was completely 50/50 though. Maybe some of the early ones. Funny how fate decides lives, but people have to open to seeing the possibility or potential. They also worked very hard to get where they were - no accident.
AllenOption8 Yes - no accident at all. Many people don't realize the schedule they kept. They were absolutely prolific during their relatively short career. I would recommend the following site for all fans:
(Google "Pierocarey Beatles Timeline")
It highlights their entire recording career on a daily basis.
I died when i heard the voice cracks
John: Now don't slow down for Christ sake! Or I'm giving ye no more drugs!
Paul: Been for a shit have you Megan?
---
Lol priceless 😂
Isn't Brian Epstein saying the, "Been for a shit," line?
Nope. Paul all the way ;)
Oh, okay. :)
TheBeatlesRock12341 That was actually Brian Epstein, saying "Been for a shit I see, Macca?" in response to Paul's sassiness about the red light being on. You can tell it's not Paul, since Paul's vocal track is far quieter (just listen to how quiet his response is to John when asked about the red light.)
Henry Floyd At this time, no one anywhere called McCartney "Macca", that's only been around for a few years. It was always just "Paul". It sounds more like "Megan", but it definitely is not "Macca".
3:42 is George playing ‘White Christmas’ ?
Yeah, I hear it... Really sounds like "white christmas"... Good thing you noticed! 😁😁😁
Yes and in a interview he once said that it was his favourite song
Every single one is instantly recognisable after the first cord or word it’s just magic.
RINGO!!!
speechless.... 50 years ago and still remains the best band all over the world ... thank you sister that make me love THE BEATLES
Seems like I'm singing in a sock
thas boy
I love it when Paul and John either start laughing or can't stop singing
There will never be 4 guys like this do what they did ever again impossible
John had a voice like no other before him, or since. It was a mix of raspy, with perfect vibrato, and an incredibly large range.. He truly was an artistic genius in so many different areas.
Lots of humor here, and lots of great, spontaneous sounding music. I wish I could listen to every bit of it.
J: "What are you doing?"
P:"It's murder! I can't do it!"
Oh god the Tell Me Why one is even better
Paul (I think): YOU MADE A MISTAKE! I KNOW YOU DID!
love listening to these. Back in the day when everyone was in the room at the same time. Not separate tracks by one person at a time!
Marvellous to hear the GREATEST band ever having such fun! Thanks for the upload.
They sounded happy. Just listening to them make mistakes makes me happy
"You're right boy, you're right there boy!" sounds so good.
“It’s these damn words”..... John Lennon! John had an endearing propensity for even forgetting the words to his own songs on a regular basis. This Boy and Help caused him particular problems..... how I miss him and George.
God the beginning with Hard Day’s Night. It’s like the first two tries are “ewww” but then they hit you with the perfect chord and I fell out of my chair.
You know a band is the greatest when over a million and a half people want to view/ hear their flubs over fifty years later. 😳
I've seen and heard a lot of Beatles stuff in my life but this is the funniest side I've seen yet of this amazing band. This is like being a fly on a wall in the studio with the Beatles, listening to some of their funniest moments. Parts of this are pure joy.
The Beatles always make me smile. These bloopers are funny!
Best band ever, past and future. The Beatles are one of the things I love most in the world.
5:53 mccartney saying "been for a shit have you megan?" is the punchline of a joke i've forgotten the lead-up to. it was good, though.
Also known as Brian Epstine

*Epstein
The songs are so rich and full of warmth. They were all excellent singers.
when they record she loves you in german, Paul's laugh is too cute!!!!!!
"You've done it again! You made a mistake! I know you did!!"
Paul sounds like a little kid when he's frustrated 😂
FYI, it was John who screamed and sang Mr. Moonlight, all of it. Buy the Anthology dvd, it shows him singing it.
Johns laugh is the best
They ( George Martin ) should have filmed all the sessions . A lot of money could've been made. people like this stuff.
I always get such a warm feeling inside when ever I hear them laughing together
at 1:18 OMG PAULS VOCALS EVEN THE MESS UPS ARE ANGELIC
John's cracked voice sounds better that today's music.... 😂🔥👏💕

"You did it again!"
*WHAT*
You made a mistake >:(
I know you did >:(
This is fun to listen to.
