I've noticed this! (This might be a coincidence) but the the music kinda expresses the emotions.
Such as *When you died in destiny's dawn you played alistair's ballad (1st movement) slow + reverb as how stressful.*
This might be purposely done or a coincidence.

Tower heroes uses music that fits the theme of the map like tidal takedown's music that plays on wave 1 - 24/34/39 gives like a ocean vibe to me
