I 100% agree with all you say here. Well described and explained !! I just own Ganymede... and I have a decant of BI, but I prefer Ganymede way more. Not as a signature, cause I have other signature frags.

@@50scents_ Yea I like Ganymede more cause of the way I use it and when. I like it for going out and being on stage. It gives me special vibes. Much more than Bois Imperial. Actually I don't find them that much similar... My main signatures at the moment are Dior Homme 2013 and Dior Eau Sauvage 2017 😉 Btw... my SOTD is Bois Imperial. You inspired me to wear it today!
Bois imperial is insane value. I use a single spray for work and it lasts all day and projects (sometimes too much!). I also bought it at a discount because you can buy the sample set from the brand and then take the price of that off your first purchase. I find it quite different to Ganymede, which I do not like.
Hey Phil, thanks for sharing your thoughts on it . What are other favs from the sample set you liked ? I’m a big fig lover so i want to try the fig infusion. Yeah I agree it’s a monster in projection and longevity and it’s not a inoffensive fragrances even with just one or two sprays everyone is smelling you but like I mentioned in the video , till now I just received positive feedback 👌
Fig Infusion is good, and more masculine than most fig fragrances imo. Excellent longevity also. The new Patchouli Mania is excellent also, I think@@50scents_
Agree! I have both. They are exactly the same. Bois Imperial is just the eventual dry down of Ganymede. Ganymede has added minerality and suede notes in the top and mid. Pretty much the same in my opinion.
Yes they are quiet close even if I get a lot more metallic Notes in Ganymede and it’s not as easy to wear for me than Bois imperial is . But in general you just smell that they are created by the same Parfumeur and that he’s really skilled with what he does. I just have the feeling you smell that with Bois Imperial he had more freedom to create whatever he likes. Ganymede is a modern masterpiece and one of the few niche fragrances these days that are super unique and influential like creed Aventus was before:)
Yes totally agree with you Bois Imperial make you smell amazing and luxurious for a reasonable price . I love the DNA and wish more brands would be that good in value than essential Parfums is 👌
Is there any reformulation? I ordered it for the first time last month, and its not as long lasting and projecting as people say, and my friend who have had 2 bottles now bought 3rd and he said its not that good in terms of performance as the other 2? Or it needs some maceration maybe…
For me it’s also a pure love . It’s just such an outstanding unique fragrances that is still super likeable for people around you ❤️ I haven’t tried penhaligons sartorial yet , I have to get my nose on that one because I love fougere fragrances.

I just picked up Gynemede for $189 100ml. U said 90 euro for 100ml. I haven't worn it yet. Its was my blindbuy. I love blindbuys. I like surprises. I only have one blindbuy that i regret out of 100 perfumes.

I wouldnt call bois impérial an out of the shower fragrance because it’s so long lasting you’ll be wearing it for until the next shower 😂 It is clean though I agree I love layering bois impérial with Aqua di Parma Colonia (as beautiful as weak)
personally I hate Bois Imperial, so before I got my nose on Ganymede i thought I would hate it but i really ended up loving it. I get an added Iso E Super and fruitiness up top that really makes the DNA captivating and incomparable.

It’s okay a bit more fresh than Ganymede on its own but I wouldn’t do it to much because they are both so strong
