I love that you take photos the same way my mother does on holiday, fifty of the exact same uncomfortable zoom in of a stranger she swears looks like someone we know.
I just got home from my brother's graduation and I played keys on the plane and in the evenings. I think I'm very close to the end so I can finally start watching playthroughs. I freakin love this game! I have critiques for sure (looking at you, latte art) but it's been a really fun game despite being imperfect. I'm very happy with the work HER put into this game and with how seriously they took the feedback from MID. I think I'm most impressed with the integration of Czech culture into core story and mechanics, Czech language representation, and the multi-layered story that folds the stolen jewels and historical narratives into a bigger story about family and progress vs. tradition. I can't think of another Nancy game that does all of those things so well, especially the depth of the storytelling, which is often weak even in the best of the older games. I think they did a fantastic job with very limited resources and I can't wait to sit down and finish it! My aunt worked in Prague for many years and often brought back gifts of her favorite bits of Czech art and craft, so when my siblings and I were sitting together in the hotel playing keys the other night and we found some painted eggs in a drawer we were so excited because the painted eggs were her favorite :)
Ahh congrats to your brother! Playing Nancy on the plane sounds so chill! Yeah you can definitely see they took feedback from MID, and although like you I have a few qualms (working on a full review video with my thoughts), I think it's steps in the right direction! I also think they integrated the Czech edutainment aspect really well! Also that's so sweet about you finding a connection to your aunt in the game!
