A temporary intervention project has been announced yesterday, to include 300 agents to clear files on hold... But I don't believe anything Portugal's immigration authorities say anymore: I arrived on the CPLP implementation, had my appointment at SEF switching to AIMA and one year later I am still waiting for my resident card from a process that started on the embassy 1.5 years ago 😂
News are reporting that AIMA is losing 100 employees out of the 700, because burden and exploring better paid jobs. Bottom line, little investment by the government.
Still unable to get my 2 year renewal card. We had to cancel a trip to a Schengen country - losing money. We're expecting this to take a year or more. We have just received approval for a social pass for Malaysia. We are considering our options.
Good catch, THANK YOU as always! I'm making a new video for today to discuss the PM's new immigration measures and I will ensure that title has the right info too. Thanks!
Yes, but people who have moved here legally, who are temporary residents, are still struggling to get renewals, renewed cards, etc. So even us who cam legally, have had many issues.
The transition from SEF to AIMA has been a disaster for those trying to get into Portugal, renew residences, reunify their families, etc.

Sorry to hear about the delays and issues. That is terrible to be waiting so long.

This is true. There will be more leaving as the measures taken by the government will do little to help them, or the immigrants coming in.

Really appreciate your updates, because my family and I really want to migrate to Portugal but I guess 'wait and see is the process now'. 🤷
I will have a new video up today to discuss new measures Portugal will put in place to try and help the immigration process.
Those reports have already been denied 😊
The government stated just this evening there are over 400,000 cases that have not been completed, and employees are leaving.
Note that your video title says "AIMI" instead of "AIMA".

So sorry.
The news are good for people who want to move here legal.

Does this affect EU citizens too?
Only Non-EU citizens.
@@traveltidbitsrus Oh, cool, I'm relieved....
