- Hello guys, greetings from Pinel Island!
Pinel Island is only ten minutes from St. Maarten and is known as the place where locals go. Pinel Island is a preserved area and is a very popular snorkeling, kayak, and hiking spot. Later on, we will explore the island and visit the only three facilities on the island: two restaurants and a gift shop. Also, you can walk around the island to see amazing wildlife, nature, and a couple of other beaches, but because of coral reefs and rough waters, swimming is almost impossible.

We want to go to Pinel island on Monday, where do you go to take the ferry from SXM?
You need to go to the French Cul de Sac and from there small boats go every 30 minutes. The ride is only 5 minutes, tickets you will buy there.

I noticed you were flying a drone when we were there this past December I received a rescrited notice and was unable to fly on Pinel Island, do you know why?
So one month before our trip I did send an email and filled the papers to get a permission. So I did send my serial number etc...I didn't get permission to fly everywhere but I did fly at almost all beaches. 😄👍❤️
Did you fly around St.Maartin, because I think you should be fine to fly without permission almost everywhere, with a mavic mini, for other drones I am not sure. I didn't bring with me my mavic air, because they are more strict about bigger drones.

Unfortunately, no, but this is only a short ride, and water is pretty shallow and no waves. 😁
Hi, what are the prices like? How much is a sun bed?
Prices are similar to the rest of St.Maarten. Like you can see in the video we did take chairs with a table, and is around 30$. Food was with couple of drinks fries and hamburgers for two around 40$.
