  • Each Remembrance Day we visit an important piece of history in the region that can really tell the story of wartime and reflect on those who fought for us. Today, we visit HMCS Haida at Pier 8 in Hamilton and explore its Miltary history and talk to veteran who served on it.

I think about my hiata bout all the time. I use to go to it everyday. From 1977 to the time hamilton got it. I was moving here. Didnt want too. But i thought find something i like and cherish it forever. I did. My lovely navy ship. That my grandfather sailed on when he was 20 & in the navy. She looks beautiful hamilton. God bless your heart. For such a special dream.

Great show and the ship looks ready to go back out. In fine condition for it's years . Hence the term in Ship shape.

One point it is HMCS Haida not the HMCS Haida. Would not make sense to say the His Majesty's Canadian Ship.

little late to this haha but technically the ship is still a commissioned ship within the RCN therefore, its prefix changes like the rest of RCN vessels.
