Removing the Binnacle and Repairing in Cab Winch Controls

- After two no go videos on Sunday and Monday, I tried again today to create a video on removing the binnacle. I also had some repair work to do on the In Cab Winch Controls so they get a mention too. I also demonstrated the Faraday pouch in action.
My snorkel has arrived and I am getting it tonight when Rob gets home, he is picking it up for me. Should have a video this week about fitting it. However, regardless, I will show you the air box connections.

Moreover, please disregard the link to the pneumatic grease gun link to Amazon and have a look at this Ozito one at Bunnings. If you click purchase from the link below it will take you to the Bunnings website. I just ordered one which I may review in a future video. I just received mine and including postage it was $39 if you collected it $29.

Thanks Dave. That binnacle removal looks like I should plan to do a few things at the same time given the number of components that have to come out. Thanks for the heads up on that.
Looking forward to the snorkel fitting.
Vimeo, Nebula...whatever works for you. I'll be there!
Yeah, I would do several jobs at once. I used some new type of cable joiner called Wago Connectors, worth using if you are joining numerous wires together. Sorry, I couldn't show the Binnacle being removed, the videos on Sunday and Monday just failed miserably.
@@thejackaroo4WDcampingchannel No problem, the seed has been sowed and I got enough of an idea when you ran through the other parts that need to be removed. You are a star Dave!
Ben,
I couldn't find my old resonator so I had to go buy one from the car wreckers at Langwarrin which slowed down the process. I also ran into a more difficult issue with the long bolt through the snorkel, there isn't a lot of space behind and with my broken finger, I found it very difficult. Rob is going to do that bit tomorrow night. I also noted that my sealant was about 10 year old so I'll be buying more tomorrow.
Did you have a look at the Vimeo I setup?
@@thejackaroo4WDcampingchannel Trials and tribulations!
Regarding the spurious problems with the spotlights, I was getting the spotlights and light bar coming on even though they were switched off. What was happening was that the LED's combined with the LED lights in the switches, were sending odd voltages down the wiring. The relays for the lights activate at 6.5 volts and deactivate at 2.5 volts. There must have been over 6.5 volts in the sense line which activated the main power to the lights. Once I removed most of the LED's and the Narva switches, all went back to normal.
I've got my snorkel😜
