Very nice indeed. For those not old enough to remember, that opening quote is by late founder Jack Loizeaux during a 1997 interview on the Discovery Channel. I still have that program ("Blast Force") on a VHS tape.
Love the way you can make it fall into it's own foot print
This is what it looks 👌 like 👍 when technical excellence and art 🎨 comes together. Thank you 😊 for sharing ❤.
Amazing what can be done when you know what you're doing! Well done, CD! Science at work!
wow! Dropped it right on it's own footprint and didn't even damage a surrounding tree! You guys are amazing!
The syncing noise of your demolitions are an absolute mood changer for me. Stress and anxiety reliever, and the best thing on my bucket list... Be somewhere to hear and watch something be demolished... 😻😻😻
I was wondering why there was a notch taken out of the building; apparently demolition was started with a high-reach excavator, but then concerns arose about the structural integrity. Explosive implosion to the rescue.
(There was also, sadly, a death when the adjoining parking garage collapsed earlier, and the ensuing legal troubles and fines I think are what led to the partially-completed building being scrapped.)
Excellent job as usual - impressive "pack-of-cards" :)
Neat the way you twisted that building right down where you wanted it - far out
I would love to see building from start to finish. I love all the prep, decision making the discussion it's just so awesome.
Spectacular demolition! Missed the drone views! The drone adds great depth to the enormous demolition project…
This was in my city and you couldn't have done a better job!!!
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
So many people in the lower floors of that condo building behind it just got a better view of the ocean.
The new intro reminds me of the 1960's era space race.
Wow, these guys are THE BEST! Just incredible.
Extraordinary implosion.
CDI does it again! Absolutely amazing. Great job!
Marvellously addictive👍👍👍
Love the new intro!
Are you going to do any more of the blow down series? Enjoy watching from the start to the end and see the behind the scenes of demo by explosive.
Excellent work.
I was there watching from the area with Pece of Mind ... it shook the ground.. Ive watched these videos before, but nothing compares to being there in person..
Always fantastic demolition work 👍🏾
I noticed that the leftmost part of the building looked like it had been crunched up a bit. After verification, another company did attempt mechanical demolition, but encountered problems. This is why this building was demolished using explosives.
If anyone from CDI reads these comments...There's a fairly lengthy series of explosions that have no visible effect, and which are not visible. I' guessing that these explosions weaken the structure in such a way that the collapse of one end of the building after the main explosion pulls the rest of the (weakened) structure down without more explosions. Is this correct?
When that is done correctly, it is amazing to watch.
I love your work, and love watching your videos, but can you please start shooting in 4K?
They really did implosion the more artistic way!
Love the twist
The trees around the area are unharmed! Awesome accurate job!
Nice!!!!
Cool blow down CDI,
Fun as usual! 👍👍
Can I ask what the building's story is? It looks like it was never completed.
Anyone?
“No palm trees were harmed in the making of this demolition.”
wow
19MAY2022 - I'm jonsing, Mark. Hurry up and blow something up.
Come to New orleans and do this to the plaza tower
Someone’s got a lot of sweeping up to do.
That final drone shot was very impressive though - little besides dust had gone beyond the fencing. A very tidy pile of rubble
the tower looks cdi as the ocean tower
Oh I know Its a Berkman Hotel
A new build gone wrong?
This is why I love this channel. The guy in the opening said you have it down to a science, but I'd say the quality of this work loops right back into art. This is a spectacular example of how to take these things down safely.
I always love seeing these things sink into themselves
