I am an African-American woman who fell in love with Mrs. Charlotte Osei while sitting in a village on an assignment wondering what am I doing here in Ghana. I decided to make myself at home in my new village and I bought a TV. I would watch JoyNews with all of its election coverage. Mrs. Osei was the electoral commissioner at the time and I remember when she would be asked questions, she spoke with confidence, her voice didn't shake. She held her head up. I remember saying if Ghanaian women are like this, I can live here and learn from them to better myself to become a confident woman! When I saw that she would be featured on the StandPoint I came to UA-cam to watch even though I have now relocated to the U.S. She crosses my mind every now and then and I'm glad to see she is doing well!

Please I have being observing for some time now a very very worrying trend, how that women and kids who appear to be of a particular religious or ethnic group; are increasingly parading along some principal streets and traffic zones within the capital, to beg for money. I pitty these children because it appears they are being abused. Some are selling earbuds, matches and literally hanging on moving vehicles and windscreens to ask for money.The question is, what in the Gender ministry, UNICEF, and evey other CSOs doing about? Can TSP look into this development? Thank you.
