No joke about losing your tent. I dropped my tent on the JMT somewhere around Bear Ridge. I backtracked back around 4 miles and didn’t find it. I attempted to cowboy camp a few days but the rain made it miserable and I had to bail in Bishop. It really sucked, glad to hear I wasn’t by the only shmuck…
Love your videos. I have a question! I want to hike the AT but I'm worried to encounter bad experiences due to racism as I am mexican and I don't see many minorities. Do you think it'll be safe?
Thank you! Racism and discrimination definitely exist in the outdoors, but I think so much has happened this year to shine a light on what BIPOC have been saying all along, that it does in fact exist on trails, and will be driving out the darkness of hatred from the outdoors. I can’t say it won’t ever go away completely, but I think you’ll be in better shape to hike the AT now than you would’ve in years past. This is all just coming from me, a White woman, so I strongly encourage you to connect with some people in the BIPOC hiking community to get their take on it as well and hopefully put your mind at ease. I really hope you get out there, thru hiking is an amazing experience.
Just organized one! Listed in order. You may notice there is no vlog #5 but that's because I got ahead of myself while I was on trail and thought I was on vlog #6. It's funny, I never realized I'd done it and the editors at The Trek who reviewed them didn't either. Thanks for watching!

Little Skittle is so accurate :D
Totally resonate with those initial emotions. Awesome looking back at some of those initial scenes!
Fun to upload them again and relive the moment, itching for my next trail!
What kind of watch did you use on the trail?
Binge watching your PCT videos! Love them!
Thanks! Happy binge watching!
Really great solo effort under some pretty tough conditions.
Some awesome views out there
Thanks for taking us along again :>)
Any time!

Thank you very much! You are so inspiring. I will get there eventually. Be safe.
Why didn't you bring your pup, out of curiosity? I'm hoping to hike the PCT next year and will be bringing my pup.
Feel bad to leave my dog behind even though I'm doing only 6-8 week section hike of the PCT next year. That will be like a year for the dog.
Good first day away and the strangest name explained !!
