ohh waah you make it so simple concept to understand - thank you from Kuwait! i am trying to make one simple powerplant in my village power from camel dung but i will try now maybe- may allah bless your soul
For the sample problem I did it a bit differently: If every 1 kg of coal gives 24 MJ of energy ideally, that means that with a 30% efficiency 1 KG of coal gives 24 * 0.3 = 7.2 MJ/Kg. In order to produce 10 Billion Joules of energy or 10000 MJ of energy, we need 1000/7.2 or 1.4 x 10^3 Kgs of coal per second. Would this method also be acceptable in the IB Physics test?
Hey Sir, I am an HL student, I wonder if you conclude HL contents to this playlist of Topic 8 energy production? Or should I look for other HL contents separately?
I love your teaching so much, especially your voice, it makes my stomach tickle everytime I hear it!
Good to hear!

Absolutely, and it really is the same as what I did but in a different order.
@@donerphysics oh thanks nice to know, the video was really useful btw, I understood everything perfectly
Thanks a lot!
Finally understood this after a whole year... 😅
Glad it helped! Please, let others know how effective the videos are where possible.
good work
Thank you! Cheers!

Good news ... there is no HL content for topic 8.
@@donerphysics 😊Didn't know that, Thanks!
Very good info, thank you!
Your videos have been extremely helpful. May I know where can I find the HL course videos for this topic?
Glad to hear that they are helping. Energy Production is topic 8 which core for SL and HL.
sir one doubt I had was is the numerator of specific energy and energy density, the output energy or the input energy?
It is the heat energy produced per kg or m3 of fuel. This heat energy is the input energy for the power plant. Electricity is the output.
@@donerphysics thanks a lot. I have covered the entire chapter through these videos. It's been great. A holistic understanding.
Good to hear!
Great video. Though, I am pretty sure that the second type of kinetic energy is actually mechanical energy 3:40.
I agree mechanical energy would be a better term for the energy of the steam.
Interesting :o!
