Wike is a very funny guy… I have read reports saying he’s not an Igbo person.. I don’t see how that can be accurate. The fact is all IKWERRE PEOPLE BELONG TO THE IGBO ANCESTRY…Including this writers grandmother.. All Ikwerre people speak and understand the Igbo language, unless the ones that are fooling themselves.

I don't know much about them, but the few I've met in real life had strong Igbo accents. Some of them have traditional Igbo names and are very accommodating and kind people (unlike the loud Wike). 😅

@@top_nigerian_news Thanks for your reply…. There are so many Ikwerre people who shares Wike’s views of not being an Igbo or having Igbo ancestors. Such people have no sense of their own history.
My own maternal grandmother was from Port Harcourt. I lived with her as a child. She used to tell us about her distant relatives in the Igbo land. I still have relatives in Port Harcourt. We communicate quite often in Ikwerre language which very much resembles the Igbo language, though my other half is Yoruba. So, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.
      Love from Texas.
