First off, thank you. Wow. 30,000 subscribers. That's insane. I've been playing Skater XL off and on since late 2018 and I've NEVER worked on my filming. I figured with the official release date getting closer and closer, I should probably start working on my filming skills in the game. Any filming help would be GREATLY appreciate because, as you can see, I suck at it. Looking forward to reading your comments lol please help.

i use the FREE "Shotcut" video editor there are filters and Keyframing in there granted it's more time consuming and learning it's pretty good!
Put 'el perrito súper gordito' 1 hour on the background.
Also, you should add some stuff with Babbo tools. Some bloom and color correction helps in the visual style too, and you should definitely look at Milkys tutorial in how he edits his own videos. I learned a lot from them

Skaterxl should make multiplayer. Have different modes such as competitions like sls, vans park/bowl series or vert comps. Or even street jams. Got heaps of different ideas but that’s just some
You should do a list of tricks and locations. Get subs to vote on said tricks and locations, then pick the top ( however many you want ). Nail each trick for sponsor vid then cut and edit video to make it one and voila! Could even make it two separate video uploads, first being all the tricks and the process. Then the cutting and editing to final product for second vid. Anyways whatever way you go i look forward to seeing it dude.

In the xxlmod is the replay mod you can setup your speed in the mod and is smoth my speed setup is 0.40
I havent actually played yet - waiting for console release. but maybe at the pop the character should be higher in the camera and lower in the camera for the landing so the pan downwards is slower

As far as the trucks go I feel you are popping too high, and if you want to pop that high maybe pop earlier? Like your hitting that rail at the last second almost kissing it. I don’t have any tips on the filming 😂 good video though man. keep it up! 👍

the landing at the clip at 11:50 went out of wack cause you needed to make the last keyframe closer to the one before it because once you pass one keyframe it takes form to the next

In filming less is more. More basic shots without too many different movements make the best shots.

how do u do the mods
its not that you are putting to many key frames its that your putting to many very close together. If you want the zoom to be slower, place the key frame later in the clip so it has time to zoom in. You have to imagine where you place your key-frame the camera has to travel to, if you are placing loads of key frames close together the camera is having to jump between different positions really fast, that is why your clips might look jerky or to fast moving

You were right when you said it follows you too much, that's what's making it look fake. Real skate filmers follow a general line of the scene. Try zooming out a bit more on the pop, or choosing a different angle

What are your PC specs?
I think you’re zooming in too much at the beginning of the clip, by doing this you’re by default going to have to dedicate one key frame to zooming out. Try not zooming in as much at the beginning of the shot. Secondly, I think you should choose your angles differently. It seems like you’re choosing angles that don’t lend themselves to using less key frames. You’re choosing these sortof complex angles that require more key frames to work out the shot. Try just finding a really open angle that shows everything, and then just zooming in a little bit so there’s some movement. Most tricks will benefit from having a keyframe on the landing and/or when you land on the rail.

You should put "10 hours putin wide walk" in the background
A tip I've learned is to keep the basic filming to a 3 or 4 keyframes as it'll be less jittery. Then when you're happy with it add some camera tilts as new keyframes and it'll look more natural. And imperfect shots where the skater isn't perfectly centred adds to the realism.

So I have tips and tricks for a dummy like you (I'm joking chill) get better at keyframes and filming. (It's actually mostly Milky's content and look! what a coincidence! There's a whole VIDEO for keyframe dummies like you (still joking) get better. ua-cam.com/video/ae9ua8H4ASM/v-deo.html)
1. Most importantly, be realistic with your filming. Keep in mind when you're doing a trick where and how the camera"man" will film. Is he going to be stationary? Is he going to film far away? So yeah, it loses its...realisticity(?!) if you just film it, without keeping in mind as if the camera was a living person.
2. Too many or too little keyframes is probably one of your biggest problems. Too much, it's jerky, and too little, it feels too lazy, yk? Find the happy medium, move around a bit, and make sure not to overdo the keyframes. It's good to check up on how you're doing every keyframe, as tedious as that may seem.
3. Implement rotation much more in your filming. Even though it might seem like a little too busy with the filming, it's actually a great way to keep the flow moving, without seeming so boring.
4. USE SLOW MOTION! You keep saying, "It looks so much better with slow motion though," but you can use slow motion in Skater XL. (I think. I'm sorry, I might be wrong, but I'm referencing to Milky's edits, where there is a lot of slow-motion here and there in tricks. I don't even play SkaterXL.) Sure, it's unrealistic, but quality over realism. (Unless you disagree)
5. Too much zoom in is bad. I personally think you overdid the zoom for your boardslide.
6. Experiment with where your camera is positioned. A lot of your filming could be done with better camera angles, and yeah.

To get the smoothness like Milky’s vids. You have to record with nvidia experience. Babbo settings for fisheye. Key frames are “Key” literally. Lastly imagine your the filmer. And key frame coming into the camera start of trick end of trick or “pop out” and landing. Practice makes perfect. End your nvidia recording and load it in whatever your editing program you use. I have a parts on my channel 👍
