Aww, reminds me of my family. My parents are Indonesian (sundanese and Palembang) but they lived in Singapore also.
I personally adore such a documentary. It's a great idea to cover this type of coverage more often.
can’t tell you just how much this hits close to home! i’m a pure blood javanese, born and raised in brunei, and studied in a chinese school all my life. i‘m what they call a third culture kid and i can’t say it was easy growing up every day in 3 different cultural environments, but i don’t think i’d have it any other way!
Yo sekali kali manggon neng Jowo setahun mas, men reti budayane bapak mamake sampean, sukur sukur iso kromo inggil
You doesn't look Javanese, you look full Chinese 😂
her mother looks very beautiful ..
Its so inspiring for us, thx a lot for cna which has made this video ❤️
Wonderful family.
Both sides must have been really rich
I bet they still are.
the wife is daughter of Hayono Isman, Politician of Indonesia also a former minister.
this was so cute hehe ☁
Indo, malay, brunei, singapura, is one nusantara
Philippines?
@@jpleoasong3209 yea Philippines also
What a lovely family...
Actually, historically there was no "Indonesian", "malaysian", "bruneian" or "singaporean", they are one people, the MALAY people who speak "bahasa" and adhere to the culture of the Austronesian ancestors (11:28 and 12:27) who lived in the Nusantara since ancient times. Colonials split us apart. So we are one, so love not hate 👍🏼
No, malay people only reside at the region of sumatra and malay land. Even though the language has been lingua franca, it does not used outside commercial in java island and other indonesian island during ancient time.
Hence the term malay should be austronesian as we are the same gene but ethnically different.
If there are no colonialism, malaysia would exist but in bigger portion along with part of sumatra, java would be divided into 2 country of sundanese and javanese, bali would be another country, borneo would also be another country, along with papua, makassar, etc
Patriot , i agree, we descend from the Majapahit empire, thousand of years ago. 😬
What ???? We Indonesian comes from different ethnics and speak different lenguage also different culture.
Malaysian or Singaporean Malay should learn these.
Balinese ,Papuan, Javanese , Sundanese , Minang, Batak, etc is come from different root. They unite together as Indonesia and learn Bahasa Indonesian lenguage for easier to us communicate with each other that came from different root.
If all these ethnics not unite as Indonesian, maybe they already have different country just like Fillipino or Thai.
In Indonesia we also have ethnics Malay mostly they residing in Riau island,Medan and Bangka Belitung.Malays in indonesia also only speak Malay that also similar to Bahasa Indonesia. But they don't have any other dialect lenguage.
@@shamsulbahrein1999 Filipino also descend from Majapahit empire ,but that doesn't make Filipino become Malay or Javanese.
Majapahit is javanese empire. Javanese is larger population in Indonesia . All place in Indonesia have Javanese community . Because javanese like to "wander / merantau "all over the place .
There is large community javanese people in Suriname ( Brazil) . They have been present since the late 19th century.
How could you call all Indonesian that have different background to become Malay ??
If your reason is because Majapahit descend , we should call them Javanese instead. But i am very sure all these people wouldn't like it. They are very different from Javanese. Even though most Indonesian culture is influenced by Javanese.
Malay and Indonesian our similarities is only Bahasa .
Even though Malaysia , Indonesia , Singapore , Brunai, become one country as Nusantara.
We still call Javanese as Javanese .
Malay as Malay.
Balinese as Balinese .
Papua as Papuan etc.
It doesn't make all these people become Malay!
They are different.
@@evi8060 No actually, if you look at the genetic structures, ethnic groups in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia except Papuans, Indians, Chinese, or Negritos, share Austronesian ancestry. Although Javanese and Sundanese have higher Austroasiatic ancestry, they also have Austronesian genetic. So these three places, and to small extent Singapore are still related, heavily related.
Beautifull Family. Love
just knew about this one couple, it was very inspiring, D both of them r souled parents
Well im half indonisia and half brunei cuz my dad is brunei and indonisia mom
very inspiring family...
Singapore is the best city .

Apparently she is the daughter of Haryono Isman, a former sports and youth minister in the Soeharto era:)
Oh anake mantan menpora jaman orba
HALF BRUNEI, HALF INDONESIAN LIVED IN SINGAPORE AND SPEAK ENGLISH EVERYTIME😂
It's great that your children speak Indonesian and Mandarin, 非常好 👏 But what about Sundanese? Sim kuring sanés ti Parahyangan, nanging kuring trésna Sunda. ᮒᮩ ᮊᮨᮍᮤᮀ ᮓᮥᮌᮤ ᮅᮛᮀ ᮜᮜᮤ ᮞᮥᮔ᮪ᮓ. And then there's your Minahasan roots as well. They are just as important.
Not to forget Brunei Malay from his father's side.
@@TGDCChannel yes but bahasa melayu and bhs indonesia is actually the same, only different in its dialect
@@patriot4786 why don't just learn both😅😅
@@patriot4786 beda, bhs indonesia itu dasarnya melayu baku riau sedangkan bhs melayu Malaysia dari melayu pasar
Nice Family.
When their children grow up, they will be very beautiful. Should get them to act in Tanglin 3.
Crazy rich Indo-Brunei
The wife is the daughter of a politican and former minister in Indonesia
Was Singapore really a part of Malaysia before? Tita Mitsa.
Now we are one : ASEAN
I know them 😚
Why learn mandarin
Indonesian and Malay is almost sAme language
2 is enough Indonesian/Malay and English
Actually 3 they are growing up in Singapore so singlish is needed to be local
Januzai Ramli singlish is important in Singapore for local communication and English for work
In my opinion,China is not a country and Singapore is part of China
I think mandarin is so important for now
Their father is half Chinese.
They speak Mandarin to their grandmother.
They live in Singapore bruh, of course they need to speak Chinese Singapore is a Chinese country
Rich Family 👪

The wife is the daughter of a senior Indonesian politician
@@shaneraja5242 anak menteri era soeharto?
👍👍👍
Both parents are very fair. They look Chinese
Winnie Yeo the husband is half malay and chinese. The wife is half Javanese and half Minahasan. Minahasan people are from North Sulawesi close to the Phillipines which have more oriental look rather than fully austronesian. But you can see their family members have austronesian looks generally
No they're not looked like chinese, many people here just look like them, for me they're looked generic and authentic..
They dont have slits for eyes and actually have facial features (not a pan face). They dont look like they have down syndrome like most chinese. Sorry this is an observation from a Canadian. 🤷🏼♂️
@@A.Baskoro-pl7zx LOL Mualaf ??? Daugther of Hayono Isman. When on earth Hayono Isman is Christian. That girl is typical Indonesian. Have you been to Jakarta ???
javanese , sundanese like balinese culture
Not sundanese but javanese culture. Can be revise
Wajahnya kayak ada campuran manado
I think non of them even the kids are singaporean citizen so why stay in foreign land so many days
Singapore, malaysia, indonesia and brunei were one people because we are basically malays who speak malay language. So its not a foreign land, because historically we have a common bond.
Singapuraaaaaaaaaaa.....
Hayu mampir konten game simulator kocak ku 😁😁😁
brunei needs to stop sharia law, penalties for adultery, and remove the mandate on hijabs.
