All these years I either used an online tool or paid someone to add watermarks to my images. Your video is a gift to me! Believe me, I followed the steps so closely that I didn't have to do anything twice. Amazing narration and wonderful video. Hats off to you, friend! :)
Thanks thats great. One thing you see when you apply a Watermark or even a LUT with Shortcut to an image you dont get the same size image with an watermark it is way smaler than the original. I wonder how to adress the outout file quality so it stays same resolution same compression.
I've done everything exactly as you mentioned. When I adjust my watermark on the image to the top left corner in the size that i want, and click done. When I view the image it keeps putting the logo at the bottom so basically not where I placed it using the on screen editor. Why is it doing that?
Thank you so much! Always went through a super long process getting my photos watermarked, but a batch of 4000 photos led me to dig deeper, and your solution is by far the easiest to understand and implement. Ashamed to have not known that Macs have such a great feature with regards to shortcuts and actions. Thanks for educating me :)
Great video! Thank You for the clear and straightforward representation. I wonder if logo size (maybe the position) could be specified as percent of the image size. Then it would give the same result for small and large images.
This is great information, thanks. However the placement of watermark is still very erratic for me. I want different positions of the watermark in different images, but when I save it the watermark is always in the centre. I find it so much simpler to just add a text watermark using preview.
Thanks for your great content. This has been really informative! Just one question though. Is there any way that I can overlay my watermark at "bottom centre"? - Obviously different photos will have different sizes and orientations so hard coding the co-ordinates won't work. I had hoped I could put 50% in or something similar but can't find that option. Any ideas?
Nice way to use shortcuts. What i personally use on my MacBook is this software called Mass Watermark. I batch watermark my image collection using my logo watermark before putting it online.
Nice video, but i have one problem, i cant do this for multiple photos. I select group of pictures, and after quick action pop up windows where i have to choose one photo, do you know, where is problem?
I followed every step but even when I moved the watermark to the bottom right corner manually the saved file has it in the middle. Doesn't seem to make a difference where I move the watermark on the image, the saved file still puts it in the middle. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks a ton.. this was so helpful. However when I do a bulk watermark on image the size of the logo is not the same. How can I make sure the logo is of one size on all images.
Wow!!! Thank you so much for this!!! I had to pay a graphic designer to add my logo to hundreds of photos. But now I can do it myself! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
No matter what I do the Water Mark is to big , does not size down , any ideas, I have saved it to a postage stamp size and yet it half the picture size.
Not sure why that would be. In the overlay screen you can set the size of the watermark image and it should change in the final outcome. Perhaps the source image is super high res. try saving down a small version of your watermark logo and see if that helps.
Great tute, exactly what I was after & great to hear it spoken in aussie so I don't need subtitles ;) Massive thanks. Wondering if there's a way to make the logo size a percentage of the image also if you know how to add a border during the same process or a diff one if neccesary?
@@manuellara5528 I think shortcuts was introduced on MacOS 12 Monterey in October 2021. So to take advantage of this way of adding watermarks you may need to upgrade. If you can't upgrade right now then you could use the preview app and add a watermark one by one. But the shortcut method is good for batch images.

In one of the examples, I noticed you just lost about 60% file size from 3mb to 1 mb. Is it possible to make this workflow lossless?
Is this the same for Photos in macOS Ventura 13.4.1? I'm new to watermarks. Thanks
Is there video tutorial how to make transparent watermark logo file on Mac-book PRO ?
