Except for about 13:13, having lived in L.A. since 1978, it's really cool that I am familiar with all the scenes from all the bridges, including the Figueroa St. bridge, that we see here. I became friends with a UP engineer named Frank L. who allowed me one Sunday to run in tandem 2 of those tagged up Gen-Sets we see at 16:16, just before he retired !! Those were his final engine assignments after 35 yrs on the job ( Hey ! He got to go home every night ! Inside the cab they were very clean and were quiet running. What a thrill for me that day ! ) Thanks SCP for fab video ! ... M
really like the rail videos you post of the L.A. area. The track configurations in and around LAUPT ,Alameda corridor, and Redondo make for interesting viewing. 5 stars to everything.
If you see cars in front of the baggage car attached to the passenger cars they are usually being des headed to some other terminal that has a need for baggage cars and has run out of them.
