The Honor MagicPad 2 is a 12-inch tablet with an OLED display that is much brighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series. It's even brighter than the iPad Air and matching the 13-inch iPad Pro. We get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, lots of RAM and storage, as well as an optional pen and stylus.

I got this tablet and I'm in love with the display which is amazing for using outdoors. One drawback is the lack of a fingerprint sensor and I'm not talking about in display, at least one built into the power button would've been nice 😢😢 and the software is very smooth 😎😎
I've ordered one of these, in the UK you only have an option of 12gb ram and 256gb storage, it's the best tablet for the price, especially with the black Friday deals currently available on the main website, the case, the pencil for free and the 66wtt charger with a significant discount, you can't make any complaints about them if they're free.. also apple and Samsung aren't doing that, especially apple charging £100+ for the pen 😂
9:40 I got an Honor 8x back in 2018. That was a mid-range phone from 2018, It came out of the box with Android 8, and got upgraded over the years up to Android 10, with security patches up to Q2 2021. It is really a shame that Honor does not provide clear guides on how many upgrades one will get, but out of my experience "maybe" it will get 2 android upgrades.
I realize your channel reviews tablets, but I would be very interested in a video in which you go over how you "work" with an Android tablet, often a class of computers in which people see them as just media consumption devices. Are there any tips and tricks you do in the Android ecosystem to set things up? Perhaps you use tricks like a User Agent Switcher with Firefox to obtain a full browser experience? Many thanks!

İt is actually amazing to use it with a keyboard and a stylus you get extra pleasure
I have this tablet which came with a 100watt supercharger/earbuds and i watch a lot of youtube and movies. The oled display is big/gorgeous and imax speakers blow you away. Perfect for watching at nightime in bed.
It's seems to be the best tablet for media consumption especially with oled and 8 speakers...

What is the difference between this and Honor Pad GT Pro that recently released?
I got a question. I watch tablet and phone reviews all the time. Basically all of them are focused on the physical design, various specs are mentioned, graphs are shown, the speakers are tested through an unknown microphone (...) etc.
Then we get a tiiiiny amount of time where the tablet actually is used. Half of that time is often dedicated to the same two games we see in all reviews.
I mean. I intend to use the tablet and that involve the general interface, settings etc. This part can be quite different from one manufacturer to another. My Pixel 7 is quite different from my Samsung S22 I use at work.
Yet most reviews focus more on nits, battery tests etc.
I really don't get why the focus is tilted this way. Basically everyone structure their reviews this way.

I don't think there are other pens that are compatible with it.

Honor MagicPad 2 is much better than Redmi Pad Pro and Lenovo P12.
@@MyNextTablet Yes, I perfectly agree on the spec level. My concern is more about considering the price, as during BF, Redmi Pad Pro (256GB) costs around 300€, while MagicPad 2 50% more.

This tablet very niches market like me 😅😅. Uses a lot entertainment stuff like Yt, Netflix, Sosmed etc & write doc + browse. I don't gaming or editing video or pict at all. Who someone lookin for use as "replacement" of laptop i think is worse decision

No proper OS updates after A15 is a deal braker.Honor made a banger but the lack of android updates are killing it.
I don't know why this lack 5G or at least LTE. I work in a pretty remote area and the only thing that's works here is either Starlink or LTE. It's like Chinese brands are crippling their own products by not offering basic features like this.
Why don't you use hotspot from your smart phone with this tablet?

When you are trying to sell on price, sacrifices must be made; otherwise, profit margins would suffer. So, it is a choice for people; but only getting Android 15 when the Android 16 beta will already exist makes it a tough buy for longer-term users--I keep mine for 5-7 years, so it's an easy pass.
Its just sad that this cheaper tablet has a MUCH, MUCH brighter screen than the tab s9 or s10. I had to sell my tab s9, because i flat out couldn't use it outdoors.

Everyone focuses on the stupid 1% hdr highlight nits. When 100% fullscreen nits is what matters, and my tab s9 was a very average 410.
Honestly, Honor's software is still lacking... They cant even provide a Desktop Mode for a tablet this huge.. Which is good for productivity. At least Lenovo offers that even though their software update is also terrible.

Xiaomi has better processor performance and better build quality. Honor has a better display and better speakers. So, depends what you care more about.

If you are only looking for a tablet with a good OLED screen, this Magic Pad 2 is indeed a very good option, only if, it is much cheaper ($200-$300 cheaper) than the Tab S9 Plus in your market, otherwise the Tab S9 Plus (even the S8 Plus) is a much better tablet and buy.

I don't think it has any real advantages over samsung s9, but has many weaknesses especially lack of updates + no fingerprint scanner + plastic body (even 200$ redmi pad has alminium premium body)
nonsense chinese made is never better than samsung tab series. first of all most chinese branded tablet don't even comes with sim support only wifi. second most chinese tablet screen is lcd & even if it's oled it's not top range. thirdly software support terrible compare to tab series now its latest have up to 7 years. there are numerous advantages of samsung over chinese tablet
All the Samsung FE tablets are E-waste and the tab S9 starts at £800. Not everyone can afford a samsung tablet
