- Louis Oosthuizen overcame a shaky start to produce a brilliant display of front-running and cruise to an emotional victory at the South African Open hosted by the City of Johannesburg.
The 2010 Open Champion had won four of his eight European Tour titles on home soil but had yet to win his home Open and was playing the event for the first time since finishing third in the 2011 season.
He entered the final day at Randpark Golf Club with a three-shot lead and while he saw that cut to one after three holes, he recovered to sign for a 67 and get to 18 under, six shots clear of Frenchman Romain Langasque.

The South African Open hosted by the City of Johannesburg is contested at Randpark Golf Course. Some of South Africa’s finest will be in action this week, including Major Championship winners Louis Oosthuizen and Ernie Els. Last South African Open, Chris Paisley broke his European Tour title duck at his 118th attempt following a three-shot victory.

in terms of the mental aspect, there's no difference between him playing in an open vs. a mid-handi bantering with their friend playing a round. that super easy swing, the little rye smile when he thinks it's good. unreal how talented some people are, under that much pressure.
