i love his dad's music and avoided listening to Nick cos i didn't want to be disappointed. Ended up seeing him at the levellers festival by mistake and have been a fan ever since :)
its my favourite too, imagine how many times i watched it when editing! its still a beautiful performance. nicks hands were frozen too- wiltshire in winter. how does he do it?
I am smashed about the similarities between him and his father, although Nick sure has his own style. But the voice of young Roy Harper had that range, too. And his performances are still a legend
Saw him at Leaf Liverpool Satdy and hoping to see him at Mcr this Satdy. I mentioned Jools and he asked me to email the show. So back him and email them as well. I can't hoard him and he needs to be enjoyed by the masses.
you can buy the DVD from Nicks website harperspace thanks for the comment- its one of my favourites too! we filmed it in nicks garden on a very cold february day!
there are only a handful of people on this earth who can both sing and play guitar as well as Nick Harper...bung in damned good song writer too. Imagine what he could do with Ed Sheerans £25 k looping kit !!!
@elgar9512 Just to add to what @mikeylast said, go to the Harperspace site (look it up on Google) and then to the shop, and then to DVDs - you're looking for Love Is Music :)
Maybe one of his best songs of all? I hadn't listened to this one for a few years and it came into my head this morning. Such a spine-tingling pleasure to hear.
I've watched this video probably over like a million times, but Nick's talent still surprises me every time I watch it. Absolutely extraordinary.
God.
You brought me here today - agree btw
Thanks for the recommendation. Amazing
Thank you for bringing me here
My dad used to sing this to me.
A friend played me this song a few months ago, id never heard him before. Cant stop listening to this fantastic song!
Nick Harper tune keep me company all day, the music goes round my head.
Here because I heard about him from Mike Dawes' podcast interview with Jon Gomm--so glad I came!
NATURAL ART, NATURAL CREATIVITY AND NATURAL INGENUITY!!! PURE EXCELLENCE!!! AMAZING!!!

The 3 people who down voted this need a good slap on the bum
haha yep different strokes 👍🏻
Would absolutely love if somebody has got or worked out a tab for this... :D
I do my own version in standard tuning if you're interested still lol

Hey, you writing a tab for it? Would love to see it if so, i'm having difficulty workin this one out PM and we can share ideas :D
Seconded! I suppose it is in some bizarre dropped tuning ...
Not all that bizarre: It seems to be dropped D with 3rd string down a semitone to f sharp. Then all lowered 5 semitones!
What tuning is he in?
What tuning is he not in?
Basically, he tunes 5 semitones lower than standard. If this was standard, it would be something like dropped D with f sharp 3rd string (like lute)

it's at the start he changes the notes by putting the guitar out of tune.
2 people could obviously do better lol, lets see their effort? class bra
