I see folks in these videos say things like "it seems like I had a lot of time but it happened really fast". Part of that is reaction time. A normal human reaction time is a quarter of a second. At 60 mph, a car will travel 88 feet each second. So, that quarter second, at that speed, is 22 feet of distance. And that's how much space goes by just to realize something is happening, much less decide a course of action to take. Obviously, at slower speeds the distance is greater, and at faster speeds the distance is less. That's why distracted driving is a bad idea, and so is speeding through neighborhoods where pedestrians or pets may be present, as well as cars backing out of driveways, etc. Save the high speeds for the highways and freeways, and pay attention to lessen that reaction time.
Always something when cammers drive like shit in harsh cold temps and say "Whoops I was driving bad in snowy weather." THEN continue to still drive like ass in said conditions.
1:38 - Reminds me of a time when I was driving to work via the interstate and encountered a chair sitting perfectly upright in the middle of the lane. 3:07 - Note the dangling side mirror. I'll wager that happened since they purchased it, although I doubt they miss it since they apparently don't use it. 😀 3:55 - Saw that light dusting of white on the turn path and thought, "You need to either slow the heck down or just keep going straight, as you aren't going to make it at that speed". 4:33 - Nicely handled. Dodged, bumped the horn instead of laying on it, and continued on without letting it get them bent out of shape. Don't let stupid and/or inattentive drivers mess up your day, and don't annoy other drivers that have nothing to do with the incident with your horn blaring until you feel vindicated. 5:38 - Well, that was bad. 5:48 - That's even worse. They might as well put a "hit me" sign on their car pulling that stunt. I seriously wonder if they were fishing for someone to hit them as part of an insurance scam. If they had a group of people in the car, they could have all claimed in the first instance the other person ran the stop (appears to be 4-way), and in the second that their were coming from the other direction and the person they went around ran the stop into them.
It’s crazy how people continue to merge despite hearing honking.. had some guy forcefully merge into my lane. Couldn’t see his blinker until we had a green light and he decided to get out of the turning lane. Laid on my horn and he CONTINUED to merge over. Didn’t think anything of it until I got home and saw scratches above my rear wheel.
0:30 Cammer completely at fault. His insurance WILL NOT PAY. In fact, the insurance of the Chevy will go after the Cammer for payment because the crash was intentional.
7:03 Dude with the cam literally allowed that crash to happen. Were you distracted, or trying to commit borderline insurance fraud? 10:12 You say "undertaking" like it's some bad thing. The passing/overtaking lane was blocked! If they want to pass that patch of traffic, they *have* to undertake! No real wrongdoing on the part of the two GM cars there.
I said similar a couple episodes ago regarding how the cam person isn't giving an inch either and could have avoided the incident and the insurance could have declined their claim for how they drove. As for the undertaking, some folks have Karen moments apparently.
I undertake on a fairly regular basis, but there are some jurisdictions in which it's actually illegal. And traffic in the passing lane was moving faster than traffic in the middle lane, just not quite as fast as they would have liked. They had the option of waiting.
Biggest shock of all is that the Camaro driver in the last clip _wasn't_ the one who cut across several lanes. I was keeping my eye on the Camaro almost that whole time
3:05 First thing I noticed was the hotel and the aggravating intersection leading to BA Expressway. One long turn lane right here that actually extends to the next light. That is a hot spot for people not paying attention to road signs right there! Hello, Local!
Typical speed on a road like that is maybe 45 or 55 mph, with warning signs for the curves. So he's probably doing the speed limit. This is all on the other guy.
@nBasedAce, I don't understand that, unless it's because you have a higher population density and everything is a lot closer together. In most states, at 35mph it would take forever to get anywhere.
@@mikesmith-po8ndI don't know where you live but sometimes I will see a 45 mph sign but never anything at highway speeds, which would be 55 and over because those back roads speed limits were set when the speed limit on highways was 55.
8:49, this is in my country, the Netherlands. It is a 3 stock traffic junction. On the left you see the Highway from Haarlem to Amsterdam 9east-west), Where the cammer drives is the not-right-of-way roundabout (one of the last existing ones in the Netherlands). At this level it is only this roundabout. On the top level is the north-south highway towards Alkmaar, the A9. The lines and arrows have been renewed and everything is better now then before, like in the 90s. If the motorbiker wanted to go to the right, towards Haarlem, he had to be already in the right lane. The van was in the wrong lane too This is the only accident i have ever seen here in these 50 years.
That first video is a back street in Fairfax County VA. NOTORIOUSLY difficult to see out of and turn out of. Honestly not surprising at all to see accidents there routinely. People disregard the slower speed limit (slowed down in this area specifically for this intersection) and apparently the stop sign all the damn time.
I watch a LOT of these videos and the common factor is that people are driving WAY too fast and have plenty of time to stop which equals more reaction time.
Thank you for watching folks! Drive safely out there.

1:38 Nice Reflexes 👍
7:53 I think this photo is older than temu
1:38 - Reminds me of a time when I was driving to work via the interstate and encountered a chair sitting perfectly upright in the middle of the lane.
3:07 - Note the dangling side mirror. I'll wager that happened since they purchased it, although I doubt they miss it since they apparently don't use it. 😀
3:55 - Saw that light dusting of white on the turn path and thought, "You need to either slow the heck down or just keep going straight, as you aren't going to make it at that speed".
0:40 So you have time to honk but not time to stop? Idc what insurance said, I say fault is 50/50.
2:24 That editing just about made me vomit.
4:53 aside from talking about left turns, that audio is a little too perfect.
Added after obviously
8:13
bruh you’d rather get in a wreck?? instead of just letting them over?????
9:58 Me use "Zipper-Merge" method to make left turn from right lane. You have to stop for me. Me have legal right-of-way
8:03 That Malibu Learned that messege from Cars 3 "Sneak thru the window"
0:30 Cammer completely at fault. His insurance WILL NOT PAY. In fact, the insurance of the Chevy will go after the Cammer for payment because the crash was intentional.
5:42 and another teenage driver that feels the need to smash the pedal up to every stop sign. How much you spend on brakes in a year?
It blows my mind to think that a lot of these ppl really don’t see cars coming their way when it’s so visible 😂
4:46 just listen to the radio and see whats going on...
The audio was very obviously added to the clip afterwards.
Half of these accidents were avoidable if cammer practiced defensive driving
3:44 I don’t think she knows how to drive 🙄
1:37 you were unable to stop safely in time and had to swerve. That means you were driving too close.
I think the distance was okay, he just had the reaction time of a dead horse.
2:21 sound effects made it better😂
7:10 guy just plowing through
75 MPH in Colorado?! I don’t trust the roads or the drivers there! That CANNOT be safe.
@@co-jt6gd Not all CO roads are curvy mountain roads. Those are far slower, the 75 are our straight flat land areas largely.
0:00 The chicken is not angry. The chicken is simply disappointed.
Second guy is 100% in the wrong
Maybe stop the car instead of honking your horn.
5:35 - "Yeah let us follow the maniac!"
2:10 what exactly the purpose of the family cam?
Rear view camera?
@@aralornwolf3140 if it is, it goes in the back window.
Say if you were a insurance adjuster. It will make your job a whole lot easier to actually see if the driver was paying attention
4:13 ezek a mieink!!
Biggest shock of all is that the Camaro driver in the last clip _wasn't_ the one who cut across several lanes. I was keeping my eye on the Camaro almost that whole time
You know it’s a good video when you hear some “anyádat b@zdmeg!” 🤣
They're running red lights, cutting off other drivers, and speeding like crazy. It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.
Bro the clip where the guy is listening to a standup bit where the thing he describes literally was happening to the cammer was crazy
4:25 Yeah, no. You honked *way* after the truck had already reacted.
8:01 I see crap like that every time I drive down in South Carolina.
8:54 What? I was concentrating on the DPD driver.
3:05 First thing I noticed was the hotel and the aggravating intersection leading to BA Expressway. One long turn lane right here that actually extends to the next light. That is a hot spot for people not paying attention to road signs right there! Hello, Local!
The first person is going way too fast for those narrow rural roads.
But the other driver is completely at fault for pulling out without making sure it's clear. Do not blame the cammer.
Typical speed on a road like that is maybe 45 or 55 mph, with warning signs for the curves. So he's probably doing the speed limit.
This is all on the other guy.
@@mikesmith-po8ndI am from Massachusetts and have always seen the speed limit on these types of roads be no more than 35 miles per hour.
Bike was also signaling left, so also an idiot. Or does left mean right there?
0:26 They will increase his insurance. She was definitely wrong but that could’ve been easily avoided.
9:54 calm down
To the driver at 7:05, you had PLENTY of time to react.
@ 7:34: "And that's how my career as a school bus driver came to an abrupt end..."
Trucker listening to Spice Girls? Perfection
I watch a LOT of these videos and the common factor is that people are driving WAY too fast and have plenty of time to stop which equals more reaction time.
