It's the realisation that each time Adobe messes up he has gone back in to the recording and put the text pointing out it's messing up and then re-encoding it. Such dedication to the insantiy that is Dankpods
1:22:33 ladies and gentlemen, the first appearance of Scarlet Fire on this magnificent channel. Little did he know how many dirty buds that song would bring an end to.
I love the episode reviewing the original iPod earbuds, they were shockingly bad to me when I was a kid. Literally, the ones my buddy had kept shocking my ears, and it left a bad impression on what I was told was the top of the line portable music player.
Been watching these just to see the after shows I've seen most of the videos but you the mad lad is making me watch them all again. Watching that extremely rough first episode where it sounds Ike your across the room talking is a trip compared to where you are now.

The k@zoo was my first mp3 player, so that was an awesome trip down memory lane. I was yelling at the screen, though, when you brought out an SD card. The k@zoo took an MMC card which is just a little bit thinner.
seeing skyrim playing off of an ipod classic feels like the dream logic of a real dream i would actually have. also, good to know i'll never be using e-bay internationally...
Re: Windows, I recently switched to Linux (KDE Neon) and it's incredible how well a lot of games run on it nowadays. I picked up Armored Core 6 recently and it just worked, no fiddling about required. The Steam Deck has done _so much_ for forcing 'play windows games on linux' tech to mature, it's honestly a valid alternative to windows for a games machine now.
I had that creative zen touch here in Australia (3:30:00). Really good device, and i liked it much more than my ipod classic that replaced it. 20gb was good at the time, had a blue backlight, you could make playlists from within the device. Supported drag and drop, decent Equalizer, synced with Winamp. The touch scroll was nice, and you could scroll down a bit, then leave your finger down, and it would auto scroll. Much nicer than burning your fingertips running laps on the scroll wheel 😢 Miss my boy. I'm sure i still have it, but the hdd needs replacing and it wasn't something i could do at the time. Hopefully next time I'm in Victoria i can find it
i downloaded the audio for all the complete series videos and put it on my mp3 player im literally listening to dankpods on a nugget rn its come full circle
Imagine buying one of these super expensive, sealed, never used Mario games or whatever the one in the plastic cases that dentist who have never played a videogame buy as an investment and you spend like 10k on a case and it comes with the case just broken open and a gash in the box
The nano experience at 1:31:45 was actually so sweet! I got a pink version of that nano for Christmas in 2009, and I was obsessed with it! It was my first real iPod after my bulky CD player and bootleg MP3 player that I only really used on road trips. I loved my family’s iPod touch (yes back then we really did share one iPod touch as a family lol) and I would listen to my moms music a lot, so I was excited to have my own music player finally, and it was my own.
2:41:21 Fun fact about that majestic UI, it likes to crash on track changes semi-randomly, rebooting the entire thing. Didn't have any luck getting video to work on my similar nugget, but the sound quality is surprisingly decent. The shuffle function is surprisingly hard to find and seems weirdly biased, it's under repeat, which is only found in the menu while playing.
the "do cheaper headphones stink" video convinced me to buy a pair of sr850s last year! theyve been very friendly to me but i've been wanting to replace the cable
@@plokil they really do sound as good as dankpods says! the velvety earpads feel really nice but soak up hair from me and my cat, so i plan on getting replacements (any replacement pads for akg style headphones works). i also want to install a removable cable, which should be fairly easy. i really hope you can get a pair imported for cheap :D
At 1:53:17, was the music player my dad had until I grabbed hold of it and got to enjoy "crunchy rock & roll," but it was still amazing to have music to listen to on the bus
I live in the EU which really helps with the ebay problem. I prefer not buying stuff from out of country, but when I do I almost never order non-EU because it's just a much bigger hassle and takes a much longer time. I have never had a box even opened that I have noticed... I do have to buy some crazy stuff for my work sometimes, but you can almost always find it in Germany instead of the US if you just give it a shot. UK leaving has of course been a bother, but not that big a problem.
The Zune software seems very similar to the Windows phone software. Wouldn't be surprised if they took most of the same aspects and just moved it to a mobile device.
Watching the after shows feels so wrong and it’s all like secret sequels to videos I’ve watched many times and then also the fact I’m not paying is off to me
Just so y’all know…. That iPod isn’t actually that bad in terms of speed, it’s just that any operating system slows down a hard drive whenever it’s the boot drive. My own windows machine had the HDD go from 20MB/s to 150-200MB/s when I finally got the thing an SSD, and it’s an age old i5-2400 compared to Wades old i3 9th gen build. I bet if you benchmarked the iPod in disc mode, the thing would maybe get 10MB/s due to the kind of drive the thing is.
The whole Ebay Global Shipping program is why I always sort my Ebay searches by stuff in Europe, and then I ignore the UK since they left the EU Don't usually have a problem ordering as long as it's inside the union since it works just about the same as ordering inside the country.
I switched to Linux after being a Windows fanboy for a while and Linux is so much better than Windows in a lot of ways. Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Nobara (for gamers) make Linux very easy to use (literally easier than Windows), a lot safer and less annoying. Software and hardware compatibility is a problem though, do your research on how your apps and hardware runs on Linux if you want to switch

"Game like its 1980" i have the answer to why it was a flickering, your cameras shutter was dynamic instead of fixed, usually having the camera recording in 30fps 1/30s shutter would fix this problem.
