Hi Chandeep, I love enjoying watching your videos and these videos are helping me directly with my current job. Although while loading a table from a ODBC connection it gives me this error. "Preview.Error: The type of the current preview value is too complex to display." This is not letting me go any further, I went online to many blogs finding a solution, but did not help. I request Chandeep and all powerBI enthusiast to help me get this resolved.
Recently i Face this problem. Thank you for this video. Kindly make a video on Unable to save document( Unable to read beyond the end of the stream.) error.
Have you done a video yet of when you load data (from an Excel sheet on SharePoint, for example) to PBI and get an error, only for a few rows, where the data shifted over a column? For example, if you had a Customer table with columns Customer ID, First Name, Last Name, Email, but in 3 rows, you see that PBI has shift the Customer ID to the First Name column, the First Name to the Last Name column, etc. And when you look at the source file, those rows look fine. Can you help me resolve that issue, please??
Good video but this can also lead to data loss at some point right? Imagining having Date column with like 202(2)-01-15 where someone accidentally missed number in brackets for year...or it can also be in month part or so on...I am telling this because I had such issues, where you need to replace values to avoid any loss....but just using this on this way might be dangerous.
The nice and easiest way to track the errors. I think we should go to the power query each time to see the error once we found one in the time of refreshing the powerbi model. Cause, the powerbi will never load the errors. Am I right?
Hi Chandeep, I wanted to know can we connect jira with power bi using rest API without any plug-ins.. If yes could please me guide how can it be achieved...
I have a question, maybe you are able to help. I have one colum with numbers (like sales) and a column with criterium (like shop is in USA or not). I have to build percentage YTD for it (sales is 100 and 20 so 20% of it is in USA this moth, another month it is maybe 30 %. I have to build this percentage YTD for a criterium. Do you have any idea? I tried everything I found but it doesn't give me the right numbers.
Can you give me a solution for my uncleared(yet) question? How we can connect to an API which has an auth token? That is, Some APIs work like this, 1. Request a token with certain headers. 2. Accept the token and use the token as a header in each API call. 3. The token may be valid up to a specified interval. After that, we have to generate a new one again. Is there any way to do this in PowerQuery?
Hi chandeep I have this problem in my date column I will get some blanks but my power query mark them as errors how to overcome that issue. Can you please help me?
I used excel file which contains a Filter formula that sometimes contained an error. The Filter error output in excel was #CALC. When loaded into Power BI, the error message was #VALUE!. I could not find ANY solution to remove this error or replace the error (including this video). Even when trying the “keep errors”, it gives me an error and doesn’t allow me to complete the step! Haha

Not sure. I'll have to research on this!

Null values when converted to dates do not cause any problems! There could be something else.
