  • Combination is a bit loud and violent for longer tours, but it can be civilized at lower rpms. The heat from the engine is still present, but noticable less. Everything cools faster without catalytic converter acting as a heat source.
    UPDATE: (21.05.2024)
    I agree with @KaiVael who commented below, that the cause of the engine stalling when downshifting at lower rpms, is the removal of the catalytic converter. The solution is to reinstall the catalytic converter or ecu remap.
    What happens is: the midpipe is a replacement for the catalytic converter and spark arrestor. This is a high backpressure obstacle for the exhaust gases. The ecu has to learn that that backpressure isnt there anymore. So idle speed is drastically affected after install. You pull in the clutch, engine rpms drop fast, ecu cant compensate in time, and the engine dies. And then gives the low oil pressure warning, because the engine isnt running anymore. Happened to his 2 different nordens after changing the cat out(or removing db killer). Thanks for the comment @KaiVael

      No, I haven't figured out what caused it. The error has not returned and now I ride in fear waiting for when it will...

      ​@@KaiVael So far this has only happened to me once when downshifting from third or fourth gear at low rpms. I think you are absolutely right about the cause. So the solution would be to return the catalytic converter or maping the ecu.

    Come pensavo la norden è già un veicolo molto valido a 360 gradi se poi ci mettiamo uno scarico magari completo i risultati eccellenti si vedono diventa veramente una moto totale secondo me che ho avuto modo di provarla essendo oltretutto invalido al 100 per 100 quindi un prodotto di una versatilità unica per tutti coloro che vogliono avvicinarsi a queste tipo di moto e quindi a modelli simili visto che come si sa l l'husqvarna è di proprietà della ktm come la gas gas quindi di moto a disposizione ce ne sono e veramente molto buone ve lo garantisco e se ce la faccio io con i problemi che ho di salute figuriamoci chi è sano o ha solo qualche problema perché io parto dal fatto che volere è potere e se te lo metti in testa fai tantissime cose soprattutto abbatti i limiti fisici e mentali che sono tremendi

    Think I'll keep my stock exhaust for now. It sure sounds cool on the road but I don't want to bother hikers where I live when off road. I have an old Harley for serenading traffic when the mood strikes
    Did yours come w/a bad seat warmer ?

      I live in Slovenia with very warm summers and harsh winters with lots of ice&snow. I don't ride in those conditions, but also never use heated seat or handgrips, as the engine and exhaust pipe are producing more than enough heat in other months.

      @@wasnotme Only got my Exp. in January & have been riding it everyday (truck broke) I don't like nor need a heated butt, ever.(Handy for drying the seat though) Grips on lowest setting are an advantage below 5c. Yet nonworking components from factory are principle & I'll have them remedied. My nearest dealer is 200+mi ride so, eventually. Digging the bike but not so much Husqvarna's strict warranty requirements, "$600 check ups or void any responsibility by us" is BS. Fine if one's close enough but the dealer I was counting on, stopped servicing Nordens, says he was forced to buy too many big bikes for his size area. Leaves a slightly bad taste, know what I mean ? Changed the oil/filter, O-rings myself w/factory spec stuff, MotorX etc.. so we'll see.

    What crash bar is it that you've installed ?
    Exact same thing happened to me. Engine cut off when i clutch and release the throttle.

    Bojane, dali decat -om je namalilo grejanje koje je inače veoma jako leti,, imam 890adventure s i kako je u Makekonji leti veoma toplo vreme pravi mi neprijatnost..razmišljam o Arrow mid pipe decat samo zbog topline..pozdrav

      Toplina iz motora je još uvijek tu, pogotovo kada se upale ventilatori na hladnjaku. Najuočljivija razlika je u tome što toplina ne zrači iz katalizatora, što je prije bilo kao držati noge uz pećnicu. Naravno, međucijev također emitira toplinu, ali ne tako intenzivno kao prije.

      There is no need for additional tuning. On first start after removing the catalytic converter, I let the engine run for a few minutes in place and it automatically adjusted within certain parameters.

      Quadlock mount with vibration damper & charging head mounted on OEM base plate, wired through OEM 12V connection above headlight.

    Wow wtf!!! That's sad if it cut the engine off when im peg down and full throttle it can kill you easy
    Btw me brother did buy it, its a perfect bike but not THAT perfect because of brakes(strong but not quality) and the injector system that it is not a ❤keihin❤ but a an italy bulls&@_ delorto😂😂😂 that makes me cry because of 18.000€ bike...there should be keihin injection and nissin brakes!!!!
    Anyway after that 2 negatives what ever is just RIGHT PERFECT p@rn bike!!
