Great chat with a lot of interesting infos - thx for that :-)
Great to see you talk about the SU7. Hope it will get to Europe at some point, will need to pick a new company car in 2026. I heard in some other video at the Beijing auto show a rumor about a fastback/estate version of the SU7, did you hear anything about that?
Xiaomi is trying to tell you that cars are just appliances.
Great video! 👏👏
Great discussion 🎉
Ethan has a Xiaomi steamer?...for Hawaiian floral shirts? 😆🙂
Will looks like he’s been walking a lot recently
Pales in comparison to your monster 12 hour walks😂
Zeekr 001 fr got a great chassis but if su7 get something like 1000+ HP 💀 oh boy we wil be seeing that Audi rs6 scene again
Actually 001fr is the car with 1000+HP. Su7 only gets 664hp
@@shupengxue969they said that there will be more powerful version coming soon, I assume it will be su7 with loads and of power
Where does Ethan work in China outside of Wheelsboy? He mentioned 'Chinese content.'
Ethan works full time for Wheelsboy. However, he also does Chines only content on Chinese media platforms beyond youtube
@@ChinaDriven Thanks!
Hi, let us know when you get news of plans for Xiaomi SU7 sales overseas! I plan to get an EV this year or next.
Outstanding car. Especially at those prices.
Would like to make an inquiry. Do you have information on Chinese RHD vehicle exporters. I would like to contact a couple reputable exporters.
Thank you.
the start point for。Xiaomi is very high. look like apple selling iPhone from iPhone 15 not iPhone 1
I believe the air suspension of su7 max is single chamber.
Any news on the xiao pao che startup Xiaomi is funding?
Thanks
I found the window height of the door a little weird. Normally, you can rest your elbow on the door when the window is down but the seat is so low that it is awkward. It is a pretty big car. I was surprised by the length. Hopefullly, Xiaomi moves quickly to produce affordable smaller hatchbacks like the Renault 5 (the car to beat IMHO).
Their next model will be an SUV, but it would make sense to introduce smaller cars later.
@@wheelsboychat Do you have insider info to confirm this? :)
@@dontunderstand324 it’s in the news
So what's closest to taycan - Hiphi Z, Lotus Emeya or Xiaomi Su7
I haven't driven the Emeya yet, but I've driven the Electre, and it's the best driving electric SUV I've ever experienced. The Xiaomi can't really compare to the Taycan or the Emeya, but it's also less than half the cost of either, so the fact that it even gets close is impressive.

Stay tuned!
I haven't seen a single real buyer of this vehicle yet, only ads from bloggers and test cars. When will we see one video of a real buyer, one !! I haven't even seen anyone take pictures short videos of Xiaomi cars driving around China, and they claim to have sold 120,000. Notice that in these videos it is allways the same cars with no car plates, the same bloggers, everything is advertising and nothing more. In my opinion, no car has really been sold until this moment.
about 40K cars has been delivered to the customers and on road to 120K at the end of the year.

Like a lada.
huh? was he being sarcastic??? 3 sec 0-60 is "slow as a dog" now...??? 10:03
Yes, I was being extremely sarcastic.
How about the news on the brakes burning out at the tracks and the front fender panels coming loose?
I haven't looked into the second issue about the panel, but I did hear about the brakes. Was disappointed to learn that a stock SU7 Max can't seem to handle track work, sounds like it needs better brake fluid, and a brake pedal that actually changes sensation when the brakes overheat.
To Ethan's point about stock brakes on the MAX Su7 i don't think its that bad, plenty of Cars' stock brakes can't handle real track use. And Xiaomi will probably address this in the "Ultra" you mentioned
All this Hype for a brand that stole the design of taycan. What a shame. Design patents are a real thing.
If the car is only sold in China no-one can touch them...If they sold it in European
Taycan markets then yes ...Porsche might sue.
But you cant really patent a ''style''.
Then Porsche should make its taycan with better battery better intelligent driving and more user friendly control to win the competition. How easy is that?
Looks nothing like taycan. SU7 has different front bumper, different headlights, different back lights which btw they look far better than the line design on the taycan, different hood design, different A and B pillar design, different door design, even the windshield is different bigger and wider. Su7 is a super saloon all super saloon have the same overall shape.
Its like saying Chevy Silverado is copy of Ford F150 because it has the same shape, 4 door heavy pickup truck. So stfu!
@@YongLi-np3wg Porsche other than the overpriced 911 gt3 can't do shit and if you want their overpriced 911 GT3 they will force you to buy 2-3 of their "cheaper" unreliable scrap like the Macan.
Xiao Mi makes nothing
The EV car are not tested for the basic safety standards and made of poor quality materials. There are many accidents occured on the road in China!
Yawn....
