We have made so many stickers! They are now on EVERYTHING! Maybe the best question is - what's the best way to REMOVE stickers? Love our Cricut Joy Xtra!
I got the Joy Extra before the holidays and need to decide if I'm keeping it before January 31st. Your videos are very informative and watching someone else is about the only way I can learn. With you two teaching, I may just decide to keep the little gadget. You're pretty good teachers and I enjoy all the questions and comments. Thanks! By the way, I saw the mess with extra ink on the one sticker print and recognized the problem right away. I now use Canon inkjet printers that have an extra black ink cartridge for photos. Regular black ink just doesn't work well on photo paper.
Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate it. Stick with the Joy Xtra. It’s a great machine. If we can help, let us know. We love to make videos to help out. 😊
Interesting. The term, “decals” is often used with other outdoor sticker products. The New Oxford dictionary defines “decals” with a “transfer” from one medium to another. “Decal” is short for “decalcomania” and usually is a more decorative type design. Thus “slide-on transfer decals” in the model-building world, or water-slide ceramic decals for tile and ceramic uses are an accurate use of the decal term. Where the decal-or-sticker confusion usually lies stems from vinyl cut lettering and graphics. These are for long term outdoor use and are supplied with a pre-masking sheet, so upon application are transferred from one sheet/medium to another. Unlike a traditional “sticker” which is removed from its backing paper and stuck where-ever, these vinyl decals are being transferred from the masking sheet to a smooth surface.

The Joy Xtra is small enough that you can move it around the house or take it with you to a friends. We moved it to the kitchen for this video. No carry bag yet...not that I know of but I'm keeping my eyes open for one.
Hi thank you so much for this AWESOME video it’s so helpful!! I appreciate this video so much as I was lost til I found this video. I was wondering I can only find blades for the joy not the joy xtra are they the same blade? I’m very confused lol
Under your name in the upper right corner: 1) select settings 2) select machine 3) machine calibration 4) select your machine 5) select print then cut Let me know if this does't make sense.
@@craftwithfelicia yes I’m having the same problem me , my aunt, sister. Mom couldn’t figure it out been putting in the right way but corners getting bent I’m wondering if it’s the mats. My mom said she finally got one from Amazon not cricut brand but works better
To be completely honest, I've seen some TERRIBLE stickers that are a complete waste of electricity, paper, and ink. Some people shouldn't be allowed to make stickers! At least yours are attractive and seem to have a purpose. One of my neighbors makes a full letter-sized piece of paper and gives it to the neighborhood kids. They bring it home and are like, what do I do with this? Ends up in the landfill because the backing is not recyclable. Do the right thing, sticker people. Thanks for the video.

Most will peel off with no issue, but if there is any residue left or if you're having problems, try Goo Gone.
Love your channel
Thanks 😊

Hey! That's not your craft room! Cool kitchen tho. Like how the Joy Xtra is so portable. Have you found a carry bag for it yet?

Epic!

So glad to hear this was helpful. The blades for the Joy and Joy Xtra are the same. Let me know if you have other questions. 😊
Does it matter if the printer being used is an Inkjet or Laser printer? Would the Joy xtra be able read the registrations marks?
Nope - doesn't matter. We use lasers for some stuff and inkjets for others, and Joy Xtra reads them all.
Do you have any issues with you mat fitting appropriately to your cricutjoyxl?
The first one I had would go in and get bent in the corner. I got new ones and they work fine. Some have reported the off name ones work great.
Where do you get the calibration sheets?
Under your name in the upper right corner:
1) select settings
2) select machine
3) machine calibration
4) select your machine
5) select print then cut
Let me know if this does't make sense.

What is the width and length of the mat?
It's 8.5" x 12". Here's our affiliate link so you can read all about it - amzn.to/4dyeNeb.
What if I don't have the three dots on top right corner?
3 dots? It may just be too early in the morning but I'm not following.
