A freezing cold, winters afternoon at Rugby station on November 19th 2024. Large parts of the country had been affected by snowfall overnight, so services from some of the worst hit areas were subjected to some delay. Manchester seemed to be hit quite bad. With many services from Manchester running at least 15 mins late.
A good bit of variety to look out for. Class 68s, 88s, 66s and the usual WCML regulars, London North Western 350s and Avanti West Coast Pendolinos & the new 805 Everos.
Quite a rare movement to look out for is 1A33, Manchester to Euston for absolutely no apparent reason, was crossed over to pass through platform 2. Yes it is a bi-directional platform, but still a very odd move crossing it from the "Up Fast" to the "Down" for no reason only for it to go straight back to the "Up Fast" round the corner at Hilmorton Jnc.
All running info provided on screen taken on the day of recording from realtime trains.

Rugby station is a great place for train spotting. I only been past Rugby on the train but haven’t stopped off at Rugby.
Quant wee station, with some great filming.
Cool video. Nice one. Have a great day. 😀
Rugby such a pretty leafy area 😍
I love the new evero trains
Too bad they're uncomfortable, look cool though
Collection is very beautiful Very Enjoyful very Excellent and Very different experience to me.
I remember the Great Central Line Station being open at Rugby. The stations were so, so far apart.
14:05 HECK YEA FULL SPEED RIGHT NEXT TO THE PLATFORM LETS GO
nice
Nice sharing +1 click from Armenia ......
13:05 where’s that pendolino going that’s the wrong way
Did you see a 390 119 on 1A30 running 16 minutes late?
Thank you, cold work! The ID-36 to Chester appears to be going same speed as Pendalino's, yet not an expensive tilter???
Network rail have carried out infrastructure upgrades to the WCML for the evero trains to be able to run quicker with out tilt, they still have to slow down on some other corners however
The Everos only do 110. I thought it looked noticeably slower personally
@TrainPlaneHub it is only my deduction so I'll go with your experience, thank you anyway for the hardwork in the first place!
9:40 oh no hope they’re not de-branding the Prideolino
They’re not. It was damaged after hitting someone.
@@TrainPlaneHub oh noes, hope they're okay
@@camotech1314 Lol
😂😂❤❤
I'm assuming that the remainder of the Avanti Voyagers will be going to XC to replace the HST's?
Yes.
I WENT THERE THAT SAME DATE
I DID THERE AND NUNEATON
Londonnorthwesternrailway never did get around to repainting all the 350s, did they
They never planned to because they’re getting rid of the /2s
@12:40 is that normal for a southbound train to use this line?
No not at all. Very odd movement
P2 is bi-directional, as is the DS coming off the Trent Valley. Could have been moved over at High Oaks junction.
@@JulianShagworthy Yes it is bi-di. Most platforms are at Rugby. But for absolutely no reason at all. It is very unusual.
