That "clamp" had no opening to save the crystal from possibility being cracked..proper watch presses have a different die to have no pressure on the crystal

So did I miss how or when he used the tool to actually pop the back cover back on? I don't have that tool and I have tried my best to pop it back on but it won't budge. I feared I may have bent it when I took it off but seeing his video the way his wobbled a little I don't think I did. Anybody successful without the tool?

I used a wood clamp tool but you can also buy a watch tool. Back cover has to sit in the right position and evenly or else it will never snap back together with enough force from the clamp.

You will need to have lots of patience, need the back plate to be even and not tilt in any angle and pressed down firmly without moving the back plate.

You will need to make sure the back plate will sit evenly not lopsided and press down firmly.
I used a rubber hand clamp and it works.

Make sure the battery cover sit evenly and not overlapping so it can closed properly.
It's a miyota movement and you have to push the arm nearest the coil and bend it slightly towards the coil until the battery pops out. I made your same mistake and had to take out and out put back the screw and refit the arm because the replacement battery wouldn't hold in.

Nice video however You didn’t show the pressing tool to close the cover after replacing the battery which is the most important tool.
I watched this video to see how to put the snap back on and never showed it...
New battery and it the second hand still didn't move. Any ideas?
Make sure you have a good battery and contacts, if not then it's your watch mechanism, check for any liquid or water damaged.

Very easy, just make sure the back lid is evenly seated and press down firmly. Make sure you are not pressing against the raise circle or else it will never closed.
Yuk....wish I had seen this earlier as I just shattered my glass on one - the other one presses fine with my my thumbs - the third one will try your way and hope it works....but u did n't say the most important thing - there is a small "v" on the case which has to align with the wheel for changing the Time and Date? Cheers from Canada...
No luck - tried the Baby Oil trick too - maybe the Roots watch back is twisted? Haven n't used the broken and Roots for 30 years now...

Haha, yes, I did managed to put the cover back on. You have to put back the cover evenly with the watch casing or else it will never clip back on.
