UA-cam recently recommended me your video from last year so I've been thinking about my most wanted list for a couple of weeks now. I like my early cold war and modern jets and I especially like prototypes so that's most of what this list consists of. 5. An F-15 STOL/MTD in any scale. I know there is that conversion set from BAM for the Hasegawa kits in 1/48 but there is a video series online by channel Dancing Brush of him building the ACTIVE variant and that has put me off from EVER purchasing that one. So an out of the box model would be great. 4. A kit of the NF-16D VISTA or X-62 as it's now known in 1/48. This is mostly because of the now cancelled Hasegawa one. 3. A 1/48 Mirage 4000. Another prototype, of which there is a 1/72 model from Modelsvit from fairly recently, I would just like a 1/48 version. 2. A 1/48 SEPECAT Jaguar (British or French). I feel this aircraft has been left behind somewhat, there are of course the old Airfix versions, reboxed by Heller but I've heard those aren't that great. And there is of course the more recent Kitty Hawk one before the company went under but I've heard equally bad things about that one, not to mention the availability. 1. An F11F in any scale, because frankly there aren't any. This criminally overlooked aircraft has had no major releases in over 40 years in any scale, just reboxes from REALLY old toolings from Hasegawa and a few others. I also have a dark horse pick for number one in the form of a model of the prototype XF8U-3 Crusader 3 in any scale, which might be the most "wishfull thinking" aircraft I put here but I would genuinely like to see one become available. I was very much debating with myself for which one I should put on the number one spot, but the sheer lack of (relatively recent) models for the F11F is shocking to me, since it was an aircraft used by the Blue Angels.
Nice list! You love your jets! My Top 5 most wanted kits for 2024: 1: 1/32 Bristol Beaufighter (HKM) 2: 1/48 Fairey Battle (Airfix) 3: 1/32. P38 Lightning (Tamiya) 4: 1/48. MiG19 (eduard) 5: 1/48. H.P. Hampden (ICM) Best wishes for 2024! 😎
I've also seen a few new tool wish list items over the last few years. I'm still waiting for a decent 1/48 A-10A. The recent & expected release of the Academy & GWH kits leaves me more optimistic than previous years. I think the only real want left now is a 1/48 B200 King Air series.
I would love to see a GOOD Rafale in 1/48, a good RF-84 and a really decent SEPECAT Jaguar, also in 1/48. As long as I’m dreaming, a Vought Cutlass in quarter-scale would be grand.
Great topic, thanks. To me, I wish there were more kits of 'ordinary' civilian aircraft. Where I live there are few military planes, instead it's a civil aviation world. So, I'd like: A 1/48 Fairchild Hiller FH1100 helicopter; A 1/48 or 1/32 Hiller UH13E helicopter; An accurate 1/32 Bell 206 Jet Ranger (better than the sad Revell offering); A detailed 1/32 Cessna 172N (or P); A 1/48 Cessna 206 and (y'all love this); A 1/48 Bristol 170 Freighter (blimey!). 😊
Great video! Yep the 1/48 Airfix F-86 is inferior in almost all respects to the older Academy and Hasegawa - and expensive as well (and I speak as someone who doesn't care what a kit costs). I bought an Academy F-86 straight after finishing my Airfux version... And yes, a new tool 1/72 F-111 series (not just A, but C and G for us RAAF Pig lovers...) is badly overdue...and in 1/48 and 1/32.... Also agree on a new tool -4 Corsair, in any scale really... Cheers, Chris
Glad I found your channel, sir. Hope I can recruit you as an Any chance you could discuss why there has not been a decent model of the B-47 Stratojet released in over 50 years? It is THE most iconic aircraft of the Cold War... but we just keep getting another P-51, another Spitfire, another B-17, etc. We NEED a good B-47 model, but no one seems inclined to issue one. Why???
I wish I knew of a way to contact the major players and lobby them directly to look into this. Three isn't a model builder in my generation who hasn't watched Jimmy Stewart in 'Strategic Air Command' at least half a dozen times. If someone like Hobby Boss did a B-47E/RB-47E in either 1/72 or 1/48, they'd have a backlog of orders right from the start!
Yes, the Corsair is a pretty bird and a -4 would be great. You'd think that with the release of the movie Devotion in 2022 your wish would be granted. No, I haven't seen the movie, but look what we got from the 2nd coming of Top Gun. I would love to see two British Commonwealth Air Training Plan aircraft 1/48 Cessna Crane, 1/48 Harvard Mk.I. Airfix has done a great job with the Avro Anson and it would be great if someone could finish up with some more Yellow Birds.
the australian f-111 had some great expiramental 4 color camo and carying a tactical nuke I htink it was radium based . I buid one in 1/72 the hasegawva in that camo.
You call the academy kit of the -4 corsair an approximation. It is the Hasegawa plastic in an Cademy box. Hiw can you say one is better than the other, when they are both the same.
The Hasegawa kit has the elevated panel lines. I believe there was one academy/hase boxing of this kit. The one I am referring to is the academy mold -4. It came out in the late 80s with recessed panel lines. You can easily find it today. The shape issues are around the cockpit. It’s almost like it’s bulged at that point. And there is a weird shape to the canopy/wind screen too
Reasonable; New tool, Tamiya 1/32, F-4E early & late wing. 1/32 F111 Less reasonable; 1/24, Corsair, Bearcat, Skyraider, Sabre. and a new tool P-47. Large scale 1/10 or 1/6 aircraft turrets. Never going to happen but would like; A few large scale Reno race and X planes. A 1/24 or 1/16 White 666 cargo truck from the1953 film, The Wages of Fear.
We will have to hope the 1/24 scales would be Airfix not Trumpeter. I am working on 2 x Kinetic P-47s and a Trumpeter Zero that take a lot of effort to build to a acceptable standard. Building 4 x Airfix Mk.IXcs. They have some issues but are much better and are a improvement from their Hellcat kit. I would suspect another mark of Spitfire from Airfix before a new tool aircraft. It will probably be a P-51D as it would be a safer, cheaper kit to release. A Corsair is risky but there is not a (as far as I know) offering in 1/24. Either way Airfix has molds for the two engine types to develop new kits. @@ModelAirplaneMaker
Call me boring if you want but I would to see the re release of the airfix BN2 islander/defender and the revell/matchbox Norseman. I would also like to see the airfix rotodyne what was due 4 MONTHS AGO in October 2023
New tool 1/32 Hawker Typhoon New Tool 1/32 Gripen Wingnut wings molds need to be put to use by somebody. Hopefully some day. ALL WITH SEATED PILOT FIGURES
Good 72 choices. I usually do my heavy bombers in 72nd. Bout the academy b24 and marked it as a converted British raider. I need a fighter to match it. Thinking American spitfire mark V
How about decent f-111 in 1/48 ? Revelogram is old, academy hard to build and hobby boss has so many flaws it is as depressing as the number of their overscale rivets…
The hb f-111 canopy area is a disaster in terms of shape. The exhaust has the wrong number of petals (or whatever the name). The bomb bay area and doors for the a model are so wrong that you need half a book to explain it. Spinal chord is too shallow. There are problems with the flaps if i remember correctly. The a model is missing both the external part of the gun housing as well as the gun itself (if in parked state, bay is open and gun pallet is visible), f-model pave tack shaped all wrong. None of the cockpit dashboards are accurate. Etc etc etc The list is endless…
I’d like to see Tamiya, Border or HK produce a 1/32 scale Beaufighter.
I’m just glad that Revell is re-releasing the Bv 222, Arado 240, and Arado 555 again. All those kits were getting quite rare and expensive
Great Video....at This moment I am just accumulating Kits and Your Advices are Very Intersting!!!😊 Thanks

I built that Monogram F-4 corsair. It was a great kit.
Mine had a ton of fitment issues . Would not buy again unless I get to open the box first.
Great ideas! The Banshee and Sabre are some very cool subjects.
I wish we all are happy and healthy and have time to buid any kit we want!
I live Halifax ,Nova Scotia ,the home port (I think of the last Canadian aircraft carrier
And would love to see a Banshee kit in 1/48
I want the Sabre jet for myself. The Sabre served in dozens of air forces around the globe.
Good top five. Maybe add a late variant of the Able Dog, A-1 Skyraider.
I've also seen a few new tool wish list items over the last few years.

I'm really looking forward to the Eduard 48th P40e & the Hobby Boss 48th B 24...
I wish for a new 48th Vought Kingfisher scout plane.
I would love to see a GOOD Rafale in 1/48, a good RF-84 and a really decent SEPECAT Jaguar, also in 1/48. As long as I’m dreaming, a Vought Cutlass in quarter-scale would be grand.
Agree on the Banshee in 1/48. How about a new tool F-7U Cutlass in 1/48? New tool F-11 Tiger in 1/48. A few ideas.
Wow got me thinking. Nobody has done a CAC Avon powered Sabre yet with the two cannon. How long since a 1/32 Grumman Panther? Ditto Mig 15, 19 and 21.

It couldnt be a model airplane maker video without a Corsair!
Clearprop is making a new tooling for 1/48 sabre!
It would be nice if border models make a 1/48, or 1/32 F-111.
Yup, I'd also love a very high detailed 1/32 F111. Hard to get good detail on the undercarriage, Fowler flaps, and cockpit
From watching your videos I get the feeling you might be partial to the Corsair.
You might be right!

Oh I agree! A new B-47 almost made the list this year. It will definitely be on the honourable mentions. It’s not just iconic, it’s a gorgeous plane.

How about a 1/48 T-6?
I'd love a good/better Eurofighter Typhoon in 48 scale. I've built the Revell one and it leaves a lot to be desired.
1/48 Grumman Agcat
I built a Revell black widow last year and would like to see one better but it reminds me that there's no B17F kits. All Gs
All new tool kit wish list
• 1/32 anything from Tamiya ww 2 era but mostly a P47D
• 1/48 B 29
• 1/48 B26 J Vietnam
• 1/48 F86 Saber
• 1/48 PBY
I'm waiting for a re-tooled Corsair from Tamiya. They have retooled their 109 and Spitfire.... just sayin.....
I just bought and built my 1:144 shuttle and oh boy was it a nightmare to build. Probably turned me off from buying anything from Revell ever again.
I would like to see a 1/72 B-32 Dominator, 1/32, F-111 Ardvark, 1/32 F-101 Voodoo, 1/32 F-102
and 1/32 F-106.
