    For most aspects of nutrition, expert dieticians only recommend supplements and meal timings etc. as aspects to add once all the basics are mastered ie. sleep and a balanced varied diet. So they can help with performance if you’ve nailed everything else and looking for that extra boost (such as that sought after by top athletes) but they aren’t necessary to the regular active individual just looking to feel good (like me 😀).     GRANOLA RECIPE (adapted from minimalist baker):
    4 cups of rolled oats
    1/2 cup chopped nuts (any kind)
    2 tbsp shredded coconut
    2 tbsp chia or flax or linseed
    3 tbsp sukrin
    1/3 cup 100% cocoa powder
    1/4 coconut oil or vegan butter
    1/2 cup maple syrup
    Heat oven to 180C. Blend 3 cups of the oats until roughly chopped (not into a flour). Melt the coconut oil and maple syrup together then add all the ingredients into a bowl and mix. Add to a baking sheet and place in the oven for 12mins or until golden brown. Remove and stir halfway to cook evenly.

    Hey my friends!! 💛 Here's my full approach on how I'd lose some fat for summer (or any short term goal) covering training, nutrition, metabolism, supplements, meal timing and everything else I get asked about!
    You're beyond beautiful the way you are, but if this is a goal you already have in mind, hopefully the advice (+ some science) can help! ❤️

      Hi Natacha, I have purchased the CUT. guide and I am really enjoying it, I am eating more and at the same time I do feel like I am getting leaner. Just wondering when I am on my cheat day sometimes, I might not have eaten enough protein, should I exceed my calorie intake by drinking protein or should I just leave it out. Is it alright that I am not having protein sometimes (rare).

      Hey Becky! Good question, ahh I know it can be super frustrating. Have you spoken to a physio? They will typically give you some strengthening exercises to do as well as daily stretches to get it back functioning as it should.
      I think you can still train through it but you'll need to adjust your training a bit while it heals. Reduce any running or jumping/plyo exercises and do some more controlled resistance training that won't involve so much use of the achilles, still focus on squats, deadlifts, leg press etc. So you continue to stay strong and conditioned and then go back to running and jumping when you're better. For cardiovascular health and as a non impact way of running I really recommend aquajogging and cycling as alternatives. The session can be the same as you would do for your running just in a different environment (:

      Hi Natacha, I LOVE your content and I love the positivity that you promote. I'm frustrated because I started at a new gym on a weightloss program and they have me mostly lifting weights (which I love) 5 times a week with a little added low-intensity cardio. And then they have me eating about 1600 calories a day which is making me very grumpy. I know you advocate for higher calorie eating and was wondering if you could point me in a direction that might be helpful.

      Natacha Océane hey Natacha! I'm wondering about IF. I loved doing it last year and I loved the way my body looked. I'm not tracking at this point but I'd love to get into it to get just a little leaner. Would IF slow down my metabolism? Because I'm trying to take my calorie intake higher recently so I can speed it up but I dont want to mess that up. Thank you 😘😘

      Natacha Océane Thanks Natacha, that's really helpful. Did my first (small) run/jog today and it felt awesome!! Lost most of my butt/leg muscles and cardio stamina but hey-ho...we love a challenge...haha!! Would love if you could do a butt/leg workout for not necessarily beginners but people like me basically starting from scratch. 😁

    Hello Natacha, I’m sending you this message which I also posted in your last video cause I really want you to know that you're the reason i have upped my calories from 800 to 2200. That and i have stopped exhausting myself every single day for 2 hours doing cardio. I am so excited for all the bloating to go away and for my metabolism to be restored!
    I started resistance training today! I'll be going to the gym for the first time in my life! It's all thanks to you that i realised the harm i was doing to my body, it's all thanks to you that i stopped listening to anyone that was suggesting that i should eat less to lose fat, it's all thanks to you that i got my period back last month after 1 year of irregular madness and it's all thanks to you that i am joining the gym with a more healthy, long-term approach in mind. I hope my body becomes strong, lean and muscular without me fretting any drop of oil or carbs. Thank you Natacha, I am seriously and eternally grateful to you and your amazing channel (Mario too) for giving me the strength to change my perspective.     I love your view on the fat loss thing.
    Other people always tell you to decrease your calories and restrict on certain foods but you tell us to rather focus on our training and that’s what’s so awesome about you, thanks for that natacha 💕❤️

    I love how you spread positivity in all your videos. You’re such an inspiration for me and help me stay motivated and not become obsessed with getting results right away. Now if some day I look at my body and it doesn’t look the best, I simply tell my self that I just got started with my training and there’s still lots to do and I don’t need to rush to get where I want to.     Wonderful message Natacha- I used to get really caught up in looking and setting a certain amount of volume I must hit at the gym each time.     Hi Natacha! I found your channel pretty recently (about a month or so ago), and I've been following your 80/20 mindset since then. It's honestly one of the best things I've practiced because it keeps me from having binge weeks. I used to super strictly eat only "healthy" foods for a whole week, and the next week, I lost motivation and ate tons of "unhealthy" foods like cookies and brownies. And now that I allow myself to eat some of what I want everyday, it helps me control my portion sizes and I don't binge as often. I just really wanted to thank you for introducing me to this mindset!

    I very randomly found your channel a couple of weeks ago and am steadily going through all the videos because I love your attitude towards sport (and life, really) and it sort of switched my perspective on working out a bit. I've mostly worked out for weight loss (and fun, that too for sure), but I only now begin to think about my body getting stronger, more able, better equipped to handle physical challenges.     Great video, as always, Natacha! :D I've been in the "very low calories during the week (1200-1300) and then have a massive cheat day on Saturday or Sunday" cycle. I was also trying my best to give 100% of myself in the gym but I felt fatigued and generally not happy with my diet and life.
    I was kind of using the weekend to blow off some steam because my life was not in a good place (I hated my job) but one day I decided I could not take this anymore because I love training and I love food. So I cut off that massive cheat day and upped my calories by 100-150 per day for a few weeks. Now I'm sitting at a 1900 calories per day (sliiight surplus, I'd say), my workouts are fire and I feel so happy! :D
    It's really easy to lose yourself on that "low calories and then massive cheat day" cycle and it's very hard to stop because you know how good that one day feels like. But then, if you find the power to stop, you're going to feel like a goddess! xD Truly though, the way I feel these past 2 months? I would not change that for any cheat day I've done.
    Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to share my little story because one of the people that helped me realize that I "should" not live like that (suffer every day for just one more day of food coma) was you! So, thank you very very veeery much, from the bottom of my heart!

      I do that alllll the time. I do feel bad right after the little binging episodes (they’re not that bad but it’s still binging) but the next day I feel okay and I’m always eating clean. Is that bad? Like what are the consequences of that?

    Natacha, I thank God that I found your videos. I was really stuck on the calories mentality, but now thanks to your videos lifting weights has become a much bigger priority.     What has been working for me 🦄: (A) Bringing my calories back to maintenance (B) Increasing my NEAT - walking 10K steps a day (C) Stopping running and focusing on weight lifting, working out 5 days a week instead of 6 (D) Changing my training every 3-4 weeks (E) Trying to get to know my body better by being more mindful when I train, by changing up my macros to see what my body likes or dislikes, increasing my calories, taking notes about all of this, etc. It's been great! 🌻 I've seen a slow but steady progress in losing body fat, I feel like I have a better estimate of what my body needs than any macro calculator, and I can finally do push ups!!!

    You could literally make a video about shaving or waxing and everyone will watch you. I love how relateable you are and that you don't hide the necessary parts of our lives that are probably a little more embaressing. Just keep doing you! enjoying the binge watching.

    I’ve been watching you for a few weeks and I think that I never commented before, but I just wanted to tell you about how you have helped me. I You have no idea how important your videos have been!
    I have struggled with my weight since forever, since I was a young teenager and for the last 10 years I have been restricting my calories, eating as little as 700 calories per day, just to get completely out of myself a few days later and eat anything in front of me.
    It’s no surprise that it never worked!
    More than that, it ruined my metabolism so much that I would have to keep restricting if I didn’t want to gain wait from night to day.
    Then I started exercising, while still restricting and it made me feel even worse. Not only I was spending 2 hours in the gym and not seeing results, but I would be always out of energy.
    I found you on UA-cam and what you said made so much sense! The whole usually preached approach for cutting sounds so stupid now..
    Since I started following you I upped my calories and started focusing only on strength training and I can already see my body changing so quickly. But more than that, I feel good, I feel strong, I don’t feel always tired or mentally foggy anymore!
    I know this comment is getting huge by now, but I just wanted to let you know that you do make a difference! That your videos made a difference in my life and I bet in many other lives as well!

    Loved that you added dates into your smoothie :) you have a "refeed video where you ate a date as a treat, saying how much you loved them, but they never "fit" into your regular diet. This video is old, and I'm not sure why I still remember that clip, something about your smoothie... but I just love seeing how much you've developed eating wise, so inspirational!

    I absolutely love the approach of not reducing your calories too much I can never reiterate that enough to people I know that are trying to lose weight (I learned the hard way via anorexia) I think Its just a much better plan to be able to maintain on more food long term and get stronger even if it’s slower thank you thank you thank you!

    Still my fave UA-camr, i love how knowledgeable & inspiring you are 😊 you & Mario are so cute together! do you have any advice for vegans who also dont eat pasta/rice/quinoa/legumes due to allergies? im trying to increase my protein & carbs. my fats are pretty good & i eat 2 bananas most days to increase my carbs a bit. still need more protein & carbs though as i hit 1200-1400 calories a day & i work out at a high intensity 6 days a week (strength based & cardio). i freak out if i see my daily total calories on My Fitness Pal go above 1400 😔😕 you look so pretty in the camo shirt! haha "you are the goat of the relationship!" xxxx

    I am so caught up in a battle with myself right now. I used to love your videos and actually still do, but I am majorly triggered by them right now because summer is here and I didn't lose the weight I wanted (because I am struggling with a yoyo eating disorder(binging periods of months, restriction periods of months)). I thought I finally recovered, but being triggered by an amazing, helpful and innocent video like this made me realize i still have a long way to go. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GIRL xxxx

      Hey sweetie ❤️ I'm really sorry to hear that - I'm only trying to help the many people who are messaging about this topic and who I don't want to do anything drastic which could take a long time to undo 💛
      I'm not sure if you've seen it but I have a video on what helped me personally overcome a short period of pretty heavy binge eating and that, hopefully with this video, can explain why I always push back as hard as I can on restricting food intake.

    Hey! I've been following you for a while now and I think your videos are really motivating! I'd love to get to this point some day myself! I'm a basketball player but I've been struggling to recover from chondromalacia patella (grade 4 both knees) along with a meniscus tear since 2 years now, so I've been hitting the gym since. Was just wondering if you knew anything about the injury and how to recover from it, and even if not, could you do a video on an effective full body workout (low impact on joints)?
    Anyway, love your content and the positivity that you share with everyone! Love that you focus more on your performance than just looking a certain way! Continue slaying girl! 🔥

    Hey Natacha. Loving your content as always. What do you recommend for increasing upper body strength? I’ve been trying forever to do push-ups, thought I got it then recorded myself and watched it back to see horrific form and my chest barely anywhere near the ground! Do you think you could do a video focusing on specific basic moves and the frequency of practice? I do workout at home but have access to resistance band, dumb bells, a bench, Swiss ball and a barbell plus plates totalling 50kg combined.

    I am not able to train as much as I would like to at the moment because I have a lot of exams coming up soon but I try to keep in mind what you said. That training is about enabling yourself to be your best self and that sometimes you have to cut back on training to have success in other fields and that it won't affect me longterm. So thanks!
