Moulana HASRAT MOHANI (1875-1951 Delhi)
He wrote the famous ghazal "chupke chupke raat din".
A Freedom fighter, member of constituent assembly which drafted Indian Constitution. He gave the slogan "Inquilab Zindabad" during freedom movement. He was a devotee of Shri Krishna.

I am 63 yrs old now.... First time I listened Gulam Ali gazal in 1981...His album HANGAMA and since then I was fan of Gulam Ali Saab..... Hangama hai kyu barapaa, dil me ek lahar si uthi , is shahar me, apani dhun me rahata hoo,are few of his my fav gazals

Listening to this peshkash umpteenth time....everytime there are different murkiyaas.....too good! His voice is like soft 'makkhan'.....keeps on applying it effortlessly.....those 'glides' and 'musical kalabaaziyas' are out of world....one and only Ustadji!! 🙏🙏

I simply wonder why,and how can anyone dislike this very video...my parents tell me the first song I started to humm as child was this very song...no wonder it's my favorite song till date....Gulam Ali Saheb is our family's fav singer...
