@dastaylor I really do not believe that, all of a sudden, bullying is an epidemic. Being bullied is a part of every childhood, and in the lives of many, bullying provided great life-long motivation to accomplish. I think we should lets kids figure things out amongst themselves, because adults have done nothing but compound the negative effects of being different. They have caused disagreements between kids to take on an overwhelming magnitude. "Sticks and stones," was a brilliant salve.
@KingFrak252 I am not opposed to the message of the film. I am opposed to the person making it and starring in it as he is discriminatory toward gays and lesbians. Which is his opinion, and he is entitled to it, and I am entitled not to like him or his work as a result. That is my right. This has nothing to do with being pro-American, it has everything to do with not supporting someone who thinks that I or my relationship is a "detriment to society."

@KingFrak252 Calling a group of people unnatural and destructive to society is more than an unfavorable opinion. Just as you calling it deviant and abhorrent is more than just unfavorable. Which you are entitled to have your opinion and speak your opinion. It does not mean it is not harmful or discriminatory. When kids that are being bullied in school or at home put guns to their heads It is more than unfavorable it is unfathomable, and no not everyone thinks that way.

Hwoever, when I got home, I started having terrible anxiety about whether or not she liked me or could ever love me. I didn't even LIKE her. I realized that I wasn't ready for that kind of relationship. I could see how a teen would kill themsleves if they get too deeply involved in sex and love before they were ready. I say that is the major reason why gays do it; just like any other person.

And as a child, if I were told that someone who is different than me is an "abomination," as a child I would feel it was in my right to treat them with disrespect. It is not only "religious," people although I do not call people who promote bigotry, "Christian," as Christ taught to love one another. A lot of people offend me as well, I just do not go out of my way to hurt others or diminish them as human beings.
I'm not sure what all of this movie entails, but I'm sure it will talk about having a foundation in Jesus Christ. I wish some people would actually take this to heart, but knowing the Bible... and the end of times to come, things will only continue to get worse :/. As a country we're continuing to grow in sin, justify it, and accept it and deem it as the new norm. I feel like sin has blinded people more than it ever has.

Growing up is hard in any situation and bullying is wrong for any reason. Should I promote bullying of kids who are deeply religious because their parents are religious bigots? Here in NYC, I'm offended all day long by people, politics, fashion, music, movies, crime, ect. Should I force the world to recognize and shun those things which offend me? Romeo and Juliet commited suicide, and they weren't gay. Being young and involved with Sex and drugs is more likely why gay kids commit sucide, not due to religious people.
