That EGR tube is a big challenge for DIYers and inexperienced mechanics. If handled improperly can lead to damage to the intake and the intake gasket not sitting properly and causing massive vacuum leaks. What I do, to prevent all that, is; disconnect the tube from the EGR and connect it first to the intake using a new gasket. Then lower the intake carefully leveled and parallel to the contact surface. Not angled! That bends and kinks the gasket. At the same time you lower the intake watch the other end of the EGR tube sits in place. Tighten the bolts of the intake and the two at the EGR at the same time little by little in stages.
It turns a simple 10 minute job removing the intake into a fucking extra 30 minutes removing all the wipers and everything just because they couldn't figure out how to build a EGR pipe that fits
Yeah I had this problem; did my spark plugs and when I went to put the intake back on I couldn’t get it to line up right with it for nothing. Had a huge leak so I took it back off to try again and finally the pipe moved some so it went into place but then must’ve came lose from the egr bc you smell strong exhaust coming through the ac and the car lacks power. About to take it all off and try again. Probably just add another screw up to have to fix 😖
I just need to replace the tube that goes to the EGR valve. Do you think I can reach it if I just take the cowl off? I'm afraid to take the intake manifold off and it not fit back in.
Easy job 30 mins tops extension with 8mm bolt to tighten egr tube down also removing that bar that goes across engine makes it quicker

Do you think there's any kind of flexible metal hose that can be used to replace it?

Going through this hell now 😢
This is the only video that makes this seem doable great job !!!👏
Thanks for the help my guy. You’re highly appreciated.
No problem 👍
Should of marked location of windowipers with a piece of blue painters tape . So that when you reinstall easy to set them in
I believe there are markers(white lines) for both sides for alignment of wipers.

Appreciated
Wish I would have seen it done this way years ago..
So the throttle body stays attached to the manifold? What about removing that top brace?
If you need to for more room
What did you say you put down the bolt holes of the intake before you put it back on?
Locktite
What tools did you use?
Which way do you unscrew the 2 egr bolts connected to the bottom
They're normal right hand threads
at 3:55 what is the name of that hose that says PCV and has an white arrow? I need to know so i can replace mine?
pcv hose or breather hose
