    There are three main types of first order ode
    1. Separable ODE
    2. Linear ODE
    3. Exact ODE
    Other types of first order odes which can be found in textbooks
    can be reduced to this three types
    There are three ways of reducing equation to another type
    1) substitution
    2) integrating factor
    3) introducing a parameter

    Just amazing. The fact that you managed to crop all the methods of solving differential Equations while exactly showing the nature of such DE with ease and simplicity while cracking down complex to simple and comprehensive responses warms my heart.
    I managed to spent time putting down in details every word you said in every step, while drawing examples and solutions to each example given in each Method in my book.
    I'm in awe 📍📍📍🙌

    Very clear explanation, thank you very much! Just wanted to point out a mistake if it is.
    At 7:12 when u multiply both sides by -2, shouldn't the -2 be multiplied also by the constant c? You can't apply it to the 1/2x^2 alone, sir.

    • @mathbyleo
      @mathbyleo  3 роки тому +7

      Whenever you manipulate constant c either by multiplying/dividing or any operation eventually in the end you still replace it with constant c, so writing -2c doesn’t make sense since it will be replaced by big C that represents constant. However there are some situations that you are solving for constant in the integral. That’s totally another topic. So I recommend just leaving constant c in this case.
