Alla Kovgan is incredible artist. Her understanding of Merce's ideas, tones, and expressing those ideas into film make her documentary extremely unique. This was the best documentary I saw in 2019 - Rosso Films International
I have been writing a research paper on the work of Rei Kawakubo and her influence on fashion and femininity. In that I found her collaboration with Cunningham's scenario and have been trying to find the full dance online. Kovgan made me realize why I can't access it, it would be almost a disservice to view a performance piece through a screen.
