Only 3 members have a lawsuit against SM. They didn't leave EXO and they have strong bond between the members. SM is the one doing the media play making all those statements.

We’ve known about this album for a while, the news didnt come out of nowhere. The lawsuit is a separate thing that happened to come out with this timing, but theyre not leaving the group. They might not even leave sm, it just depends how the lawsuit goes. They actually filmed the title track mv the day after the lawsuit was announced, which in my opinion shows that the legal issues are separate from the groups activities which are going as planned

Other comments have covered it pretty well, but just to reiterate, CBX were very upfront in their statement that they are not leaving EXO, even if they do end up leaving the company. I think one of their lawyer's statements even mentioned that they offered solutions to continue working as a group regardless of whatever the outcome may be.
they have filmed 3 mvs way before the legal suit happened. they were scheduled to have this comeback 1st quarter of the year & for some reason sm being jerks keep pushing it back. i think they just want to have their album released since they're losing so much money. they probably thought fans would boycott this but they thought wrong. this album is now the most pre-ordered album in ktown4u w/ almost 200-300k orders just within 2-3 days of the pre-order period.

They want to leave SM but already stated that they will stay in EXO like SNSD Soyeong, Suhyun and Tiffany for example 😊

This is how it really is they're suing SM Entertainment because three of the members have submitted a total of 7 requests for documents detailing the earnings and payments of all three artists after suspicious of problems going on. But SM Entertainment claim another company was trying to get the artists to sign with them they even called up a label who wasn't even trying to sign them make it themselves look like fools. And they tried to get their artist to sign 17 to 18 year-long contract that's what you call a slave contract. And with this lawsuit they're helping their own group and other artists who is going through the same thing with slave contract with them speaking up about it. SM Entertainment have been treating EXO bad for years they wouldn't promote them properly their promotions only lasts 1 week when they have opportunities to come over to award shows in the US SM turned it down when other artists want to collab they turned it down. EXO is SM biggest group since 2013 they have sold millions of albums each year at the time EXO was the only group selling Millions of albums. Their tours sold out in millions upon Millions even their fan meeting we're making millions of dollars so much money was coming into that company to this day and they still treat them bad and nobody understands why the members have talked about how much they don't promote them anymore it's always us EXO-L and we do a way better job. EXO's popularity and power is real soon as a lawsuit came out SM Entertainment lost 150 million dollars in one day imagine how much they would have lost if it was all 8 a lot more money. But soon as they announce EXO's comeback the stocks went up so why treat a big artists like this bad I don't get it

I think the issue that has happened recently is only between EXO's subunit which is EXO-CBX. They terminate their EXCLUSIVE contract maybe to focus on the main groups promotions and upcoming comeback.

From what I understand, and guys, feel free to correct me, I'm following this very casually because it's SM, who even knows what's going there anyway 😑 I'm usually fine with letting it play out until we get a final statement before I start panicking (my ult group is Pentagon and isn't *that* a lost cause, I'm just enjoying it while it lasts ಥ⌣ಥ): Baekhyun, Chen and Xiumin are filing to terminate their slave contracts. I'm guessing, because they're a unit and Exo CBX has been around for so long (I think that, back then, these things weren't as regulated as they are now), they might have had a different contract than other Exo members. I don't think they will leave SM and Exo, it feels more like they're just trying to get a fairer deal, but that's my opinion and who knows what will happen...
They didnt all file lawsuits because theyre planning on keeping exo housed in sm for now, so majority of them had to remain. They most likely all have similarly bad contracts, which is why cbx arent just doing this for themselves, but theyre trying to get an investigation opened into the contracts of all SM idols. The three of them are basically taking the risk of being the face of the lawsuit
They're suing SM Entertainment because they wouldn't they wouldn't let EXO members check how much they were making and they tried to get them to sign 17 to 18 year contracts those are slave contracts. EXO is a super popular group for the past 11 years selling millions of albums each year and they're following in China is a massive they're always selling Millions and half a million albums in that country but SM Entertainment is always treating them bad and we don't get why but this isn't the first time SM Entertainment tried this crap many other artists have left the company because of that as well

And if people really want to know so much about SM look at their past many artists have left because of the same reason. H.O.T their first group ever in the 90s who were the Nsync and Backstreet Boys of Korea making millions and they did them wrong. Shinhwa left the company in 2003 been with them since the 90s because of shady things going on and now they have their own company. Tvxq one of the biggest groups in the of 2nd gen once again making millions of dollars but SM try to get them sign slave contracts that was super long they sued them and they won and SM got in trouble for this before so are they still doing. Ex EXO members left the group because of SM bad treatment and treating them like objects and not like human being just look it up SM have done dirty things
