I was hesitant to buy this lens at first, but when I watched your videos on portraits using this lens I fell in love with it in an instant.
She is amazing...she's got a great vibe...love all your work...thank you!
I watch you shooting and I literally can't believe how good the result is. Huge props
amazing photos, especially portraits with what is essentially a 24mm FF lens. I would never dare try and do portraits with something so wide because of the distortion but you nailed it!
Love your work!!!
I'm loving the workflow here. Definitely something I'm going to start doing. Editing multiple photos like that is game changing. Thanks for the tips bro!
No problem!
So glad I found your channel!!! Love your style
Another hit! Keep it up man!
Really detailed and clear. Thank you for sharing your style
Great video man. Like the editing tutorials and also multiple outfits during shoots keep em coming man! Also going to subscribe!
Much appreciated!
The best video I sent about editing and presets
Dope as usual my dude!
I love this video!
Good video, after watch your videos. I decided to change my eos m50 to sony a6300. And next buy sigma 16mm like yours. Keep it bro, thx u
Thanks a lot Erwin for this great video. Small question... What picture profile do you use on your A6300 when you do photoshoots?
No problem! And no picture profile for photos
@@erwinmarionneaux got it! Thanks a lot. I learned really a lot from your videos how to handle my A6300. BIG, BIG thanks! 🙌
Awesome! I’m glad I could help!
I can't thank you enough!!!! I just learned so many photoshop tricks. Definitely going to up this lens to, its so versatile. #newsubscriber
the talent
Thank you!
Nice photos bro!
I appreciate these videos
Great video and really nice photoshoot and editing! Keep going up
Thank you!
Love your vids bro, learning a lot
Glad they are helpful!
Love it! Kinda reverse from my process coz I start with Photoshop for the RAW and correct then add in the colors from LR. Really great stuff sir! I've been following you for while till I realized I ended up with the same camera setup as you 😇 true inspiration
Hey! What aspect ratio did you shoot in?
I'm loving my sigma 16mm
Question: is the make-up done deliberately like that? I mean the lightness around her eyes?
This video is another one that convinces me to finally get this lens.
Can you tell us about the autofocus?
Yes! The makeup was done that way on purpose, the autofocus works great for photos and videos, I have no issues focusing when I’m on shoots with it
@@erwinmarionneaux Thanks, man.
I like the simplicity of this video. No overlong talk, clear explanation, no showing off and no bashing anyone.
Keep 'em coming, man.
Glad I ever subbed to your channel.
Thanks soo much! I try to bring value to everyone
Shit, the difference before/after is huge, but delicate! Nicely done :-).
That’s the key! Thanks!
you makes me wanna buy this trio
the wide make it more aesthetic photo but photographer need more move, btw I have a5100 and next month we have family trip but I still thinking about buying 23mm 1.4 with more light and cheaper or 16mm 1.4 extra money but love the wide n bokeh too, just buying insta360 for wide n video... kit lens have 16-50mm but not bright.... everybody have solution for my second lens is....
Lovely shoot
Thanks!
Hey Erwin, just a heads up, the only quality available is 360p.
Thanks! It takes a while for UA-cam to make the rest available since it was just posted
Great content dude keep it up!
I appreciate it!
Brilliant. 👍👍👍
Thanks for adding "how i edit" on your video. Keep doing it plz.
Do you own the 56mm 1.4 sigma? Would love to see you using it on a photoshot 🤔🤔🤔 i see that you have the 16mm and 30mm from sigma, all you need is the 3rd lens to cpmplete the perfect trio family lens 😎😁
Thank you! And I’ve used the 56mm before but I don’t own it. I already had 2 Sony 50mm before the 56mm was released so I never had a justifiable reason to buy the 56mm when I already have a pair of 50mm. I’m sure I’ll have it eventually, just not at the moment
May I know what PP you are using for shooting portraits? Those picture looks awesome!!
Thank you! No PP is used for photos
Do you have a blog where you post all your photos? Or where are you posting them apart from Instagram. Like, the high res ones
No I don’t, the ones I post go straight to Instagram.
@@erwinmarionneauxoh, right. Well I think, some people might be interested in looking at different catalogues and photoshoots of yours.
In a higher res format instead of a reduced format like Instagram.
Just saying, it might help your photography career :)
Thank you! A huge amount of my clients come from Instagram because Instagram has a huge amount of people on it looking to hire. Very very rarely are high res photos needed since content is usually viewed on a cellphone screen
Hi, i just Saw your vídeo and i would like to know what Focus mode did You use in the shooting...i have a 6500 with the same Sigma lense and want to be sure my subject is always un Focus...any additional info about iso, speed and aperture... Thxs!
U the best man
I really appreciate it!
te veo desde argentina bro !
Very cool! I have a question, what's the best versatile lens you recommend for video and good portrait?
Thanks! If I had to use one lens for portraits and video, I’d go with the Sony 18-105mm
Hey! Great video sir! I want to know can we shoot at f/1.4 ?
When you demonstrate how to edit with adobe, will you please slow down your action to make sure viewer can see clearly and fully understand what you are doing at that moment?
You’d like a slower tutorial? Check out my “how to make your photos pop” video. I go more in-depth on how I edit
Nice video! What picture profile are you using?
Thanks! No picture profiles on photos
Video is good ,
but i think , you can get a more
“eye catching” camera angle with that lens
Thanks! And of course you can! The options are limitless
Erwin Marionneaux thanks for replying , keep up the good work . By the way , can you make “detailed” review about Sigma 56mm 1.4 too ?
Make the Same review as the Sigma 16mm
like your content, the video portion is with 18-105?
Thanks! And yes it is
Between sigma 30mm and 16 mm, what do you prefer for portait?
I’m pretty torn, I love the 16mm but not every portrait shoot works with that much distortion. The 30mm is the safer choice but I feel I reach for the 16mm more.
Great work, what kind of settings do you use ?
I pretty much always shoot wide open and adjust the shutter speed until I have the exposure I want
So is that aperture priority I’m a video guy new to shutter speeds
Little bit of both would be dope
Can you explain in more detail?
On one day shoot more outfits but don't show the editing process (because that would be too much) and on another day do a similar video like today: one outfit + editing process.
Hi may I ask what metering mode did you use in that under the sun scene.
I don’t use or pay attention to the meter so I’m not sure
Do you edit in photoshop as a preference ? Why not do it in Lightroom ? ( genuine question I’m learning)
Certain things you can’t do in lightroom that you can in photoshop, lightroom is for more general editing and organizing and photoshop is for more in-depth editing. I have a video about lightroom vs photoshop that explains it
Cheers I’ll look it up
Did you attached a polarizer on your lens?
No not for photos
@@erwinmarionneaux oh thanks for the response. I learned a lot with your editing. Now followed you in IG. Great work!
Challenge use a 9mm 2.8 next or try the 19mm 2.8.
If I had one of those! Shouldn’t be hard, I have a 10-18mm
was she(the model) skiing the past few days?
No haha, the makeup is styled that way
Oh I'm sorry. hahah nice shots there@@erwinmarionneaux
Why did you overexposed instead of underexposed and how the f did u got the details of the overexposed parts? 😅
That comes from knowing the camera well, I have an idea of how much highlight and shadow recovery the camera is capable of so I let that guide my judgement
Did you use any nd filters?
I did for the video itself but not for the photos
I just massage it a little bit. LOL
I got my great shot with this lens, and the results is fantastic at my UA-cam channel new video, all footage filmed with Sony A6400 +sigma 16mm with Cine4 PP.
Wish I can be her make up artist I won’t put too much of white under her eyes
The white was supposed to be there
very very interesting! but her makeup looks very weird
u gonna make me buy this lens I have the 30 1.4 with the a6300... follow me on Instagram jayt_photography
I love the 30mm too! I'll probably do more videos with it soon
@@erwinmarionneauxMarionneaux please I own a Nikon d750 but I purchase the a6300 and bought the 30 1.4 because of a photoshoot u did
