WOW... It took me 32 minutes to get through this piece the first time. I kept stopping, rewinding, pausing, thinking, sitting in awe. I love music. And, what music this is. I could feel a classical vibe, a jazz vibe, a funk vibe, a pop-culture dancing with the stars vibe, all while kicking a traditional Asian swag. Great talent, great composition. Well done!!!

The band are genius, the violin player looks like he is having an out of body experience. Mohini is killing it. Dave Weckl is totally in the pocket. The guitar is well slick. Lovely tune too.

Great to hear Mohini play something with a group that isn't at the ultimate of her capabilities, but where she can just play to perfection; well done all.
Abhijith P S Nair, Sandeep Mohan, Mohini Dey, and Dave Weckl: all world class musicians, proving that any kind of music can be made with virtuosity. Weckl is an old master at drums; Mohini Dey is an amazing young lady on base; Nair plays a very versatile violin; and Homan is very good at his electric guitar. I hope more collaborations like this are recorded soon.
Beautiful Music! Technically very accomplished and polished, well done! Was a big fan of Jerry Goodman, Jean Luc Ponty and Michael Urbaniak back in the 70s/80s...This violinist absolutely rocks it!
Great video and song. The only problem I have is that there was a period in the video where the bass player was not shown. She Absolutely was holding it down. Besides she was easier on the eyes to look at. 😎
After putting my focus on Mohini the last days and heard a few sounds of her i like to say that the sound in this session here is the one which comes closest to my taste. The composition of her outraging bassplay is like always challenging but obviously not for her. Shes clearly an exceptional blessed talent and it is a big pleasure to me to listen to her arts. Its also always astonishing to see with which easyness her hands and fingers fly over her instrument. The other guys around her are first class musicians too, otherwise it wouldnt fit. I will look if and when she comes to my country/city to see her live, if possible. Thanks Mohini and her collegues for this wonderful music! :-)
Same here. I had never heard any bass player be they Marcus Miller, Geddy Lee or Victor Wooten "twang" the strings as she did in her solo. It was pure melodic delight to hear those unusual notes roll off her instrument. BTW that was one heck of a fancy bass she was strumming, don't think I ever saw that model before. In fact I'm not even sure if it's a bass, or an oriental instrument serving similar purpose. In other videos of her I have seen she was using a "normal" bass i.e. like a Fender or somesuch.
