+Richard Schieffer You are suppose to use condoms. PrEP is not a drug but a protocol that includes every three month visits, testing, and safe sex counseling. Used alone Truvada is only 45 percent effective.

The problem with PREP is that it is a false sense of security. The point it seems of the song.
H.I.V is only one STD, and not restricted to gay people. The problem is that a number of the other STDs are becoming untreatable, super gon anyone??
I am dreading the day when people start dying from syph again. There is only one 100% protection against STDs if used correctly and that is a condom. My mum started teaching me that when I was growing up in the 80s with the saying "If the little man ain't wearing a wetsuit he ain't going diving" end of story.

You should still wear a condom anyway. Those pills are not 100% effective yet, plus what if your male friend from Grindr has an allergic reaction to it the way some men do with medications like Viagra. Besides, why spend $20 dollars on medications that you can only a certain amount of in 24 hours before it gets dangerous when you can spend $1.00 on a box of condoms that you can use as many as you have to without dying from using too many condoms?
Promoting un-safe sex (as mentioned in the song) now? With different variants of HIV this,apparently, only covers HIV-1. I was told this was meant to be taken while using a condom. Is that true?
+irisheyes4you Out of 25-30 000 people worldwide taking Truvada there has never been a confirmed sero conversion. Anecdotaly people come out with stories of my friend this and someone my friend once knew etc........but every time someone has claimed to be adherent and sero converted - it's been proved otherwise. Condoms do not provide any more protection for HIV than PrEP and the strains that may be resistant to Truvada are extremely rarely seen.

+valtur25 I have been taking PrEP for 21 months now and I think it's hilarious on the whole. There are a couple of things I would have preferred not to be there - due to people less informed that I - who may think it's a thing - but generally I think it's brilliant.
+Phillip Joffe the shame is implying because you haven condomless sex you'll get an STI. which isn't true. also Hep C is mostly blood borne and rarely sexually transmitted via sex unless you are HIV positive. so yeah I stand by statement
