- Warriors fans at Chase Center, in Boston, in San Francisco and around the bay were delirious Thursday night. Andrea Nakano, Sara Donchey, Max Darrow and Katie Nielsen report. (6-16-22)
The crowd was different because the people on the OTHER side of the bridge came (the EASTBAY fans, the TOWN fans). Most are priced out of the games so they just watch from home. But they can afford to pay to attend the watch party. That explains the difference in the energy in the arena. You have REAL fans as opposed to the wine and cheese crowd who is just there to be seen but not heard.
LOL I was thinking the same. Most "wine and cheese" crowds aren't from the city, and their hobbies aren't really basketball but maybe just a good night out with friends, roommates, and coworkers.
