ইউক্রেন রাশিয়াকে পরাজিত করতে পারবে, এমন দাবি সঠিক ছিল না বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন মার্কিন পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী মার্কো রুবিও। আলোচনার মাধ্যমে দ্রুত এই সংঘাত শেষ হওয়া উচিত বলেও মনে করেন তিনি। এদিকে রুশ প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয় জানিয়েছে, যুদ্ধে লড়াই করতে পর্যাপ্ত সেনা জোগাড় করতে পারছে না কিয়েভ। গত ৬ মাসে ৫০ হাজার করে সেনা হারিয়েছে দেশটি।
