  • What does it take to crush a watermelon? Rubber bands! Find out how this works and what the role energy is in this fun (and delicious) experiment with Librarian Molly.
    SUPPLIES
    - A lot of rubber bands (big enough to fit around the diameter of the watermelon)
    - A watermelon (bigger oval ones recommended)
    ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
Science from Home is a video project that Librarian Molly created so kids and caregivers can follow along with fun science experiments every week. The experiments in this series are loosely based on science standards for grade 4 for the state of Washington, and the explanations are geared toward that age group.
However, kids of all ages and families can enjoy these fun experiments and hopefully learn something new! Some of the main themes include energy, waves, Earth, organisms, and humans.
