Hello, on which sites did you find your parts for the double body carburettor of the honda prelude (seal pockets, pump diaphragm)? Thank you for this video, Have a nice evening
Thanks for the video. Been battling this carb setup for years. Ever consider deleting all the vacuum hoses? There a guy who did so and posted it on the internet. I believe it's titled "Getting rid of the Spaghetti" I spent a lot of time trying to get these carbs to run correctly. Etanol on fuel ruins the old floats.
Thanks for the comment. I have that full write up posted to my website about removing vac lines. There are many floats available to replace the originals that are ethanol compatible.
Also another important point is that removing some of the components such as vac systems could compromise the emissions compliance so i dont recommend it publicly as laws are different depending where you live.
Thanks for this. I think my Power Valve could be reason mine is starting well from cold but then goes and stalls and drops revs and backfires. I cannot see the location of it exactly. Have I missed it?
Yes i thought maybe float. I can't see where the PV is exactly. Do you know? I see the kit in Autozone but uncertain if it has a PV...i am in UK but have a freind in St. Louis to purchase and mail over, if i go for it.
Power valve also known as economizer jet uses a diaphragm on the bottom of the bowl. The GP Sorensen kit from autozone will have the correct parts except the floats. I have them in stock on my website tho.
i been folowing youre job. im working on a 1983 but i have a question y carbs seem to have a divise in between the carbs and in this video i seem ur carbs does not have it can u help me whit that please... Motor can keep on by itself. I replace the power valves but don't know where to conect it
Hello @omarmedina9904 i suggest you send me a email via my website timolude.com . I beleive you are working on a CVCC engine with the third center carb.
Today I found one of my floats had pin holes near the top seems, so for now, I used a soldering iron to melt them closed. I was only able to locate motorcycle floats but I am not sure how they will work. Do you know where I can get new floats? I will probably just put them back in the car tomorrow. Thanks for the videos.
Hello. Yea its a common issue with these floats. You could be able to use honda bike carb floats however i havnt tested them yet. I hope it goes smoothly for you.
@@timolude I'm restoring one and someone disassembled the carburetor and it was missing parts and lifters, so I was interested in which ones were original so that I don't have to look for them myself.
Wow, great stuff, can't wait to see back together.

Привет из России, благодарю за труды
Thank you
My pump doesnt working .. what should i do ? Help me
@@_haamdi233 either your diaphragm is bad or there is a blockage preventing fuel from entering or leaving the pump. You will need to investigate.

Could be for sure. Its a common fault. Just be careful wich kit you get to replace them with. Also could be float related.

@@timolude Thanks. I will take a look again ...the bowl is? Does the kit include the valve?

helo ,does honda cx500 membranes work ? and do you know where to find the proper 3 set ? thank you
I only use the gasket kit meant for these carbs. It is readily available from autozone in the usa.
Hello sir, can i run this carb without the black box in the firewall ?
Hello. You can but you need to spend some time figuring out what needs to stay and what can go.
@@timolude thank you so much, planning to go back with these set up.
what are the standard jet sizes for that carb
@@harigaribovic799 im not sure to be honest. I only ever put back the oem parts. Ill have a look and see if i can find the number on the Jets
